I woke up to a halt of a car. I looked at my surrounding to see where I am and saw a huge banner says, 'Parker Family Fun Day'. I smiled at the sight in front of me.

Every year on Memorial Day, Derek and his would go to Walla, Washington, meet the other family members, and we have fun all day. From what Derek tells me, they have a lot games, food, drinks, and most importantly have fun with each other. At night, they would make s'mores, before they go sleep in their tents before the sun rise up. Derek always looked forward to seeing his father to these events as a child, but he never showed up and nobody ever gave him a reason why. Poor kid, gave up by the time he was ten with the thought that he truly will never see the guy who gave him life again.

I would usually stay in California, trying to distract myself from the empty feeling when Derek's not around. I would hang out with my friend and shop. I would write songs. But of course, nothing can really fill the void that Derek leaves me. And I have heard it's the same for him. Shows how addicted we are to each other to say the least. It may be an unhealthy one, but in this world we only have each other. This year is different though, since I am carrying the future generation for the Parker family and I am under mom's supervision, I am considered as an 'official' Parker now. I know, I know. Let's fangirl, y'all. Thankfully, I know most of the members in Derek's family, so there wouldn't any awkward introduction with anyone.

With my head still on Derek's shoulder, I looked up to my left to see that my boyfriend is still sleeping on his head resting on mine. I smiled as I started to poke his nose as he is my new 'poker buddy'. I'm weird, I know. And somehow I still managed to not be single.

Derek opened one of his eyes at me, then closed it. "Yes, Mel?"

    "We're here." I said.

Derek lifted up his head and adjusted his shirt as he looked around the area. Sure enough, we're at the same place that he mentions every year.

"Welcome to the Parker Family Reunion, Melly." He said as we stepped out of the car.

I took the time to stretch my limbs as I looked around once more.

"Better than I've imagined it to be." I said, before kissing him.

He kissed back, smiling against our lips, probably due to the fact that I don't have any lip gloss on. He claims that he likes it, but it is hell for him to take off. I just rolled my eyes at the boy's comment. If he wants to kiss me, then he's gonna have to deal with it. He pulled back and I put my head on his shoulder. It feels like I fit his body so well. As if we're jagged puzzle piece coming together. And we are; we are each other's puzzle piece.

"Alright, you lovebirds. Set up your tents and then greet your family." Mom said.

Derek rolled his eyes, before turning around and going to the van to retrieve our stuff. Since he's starting a family with me, he gets sleep in a tent with me all by ourselves, while his main family sleep in another.

Derek settled the equipments on the ground and opened it. I grabbed the instructions as he grabbed the tent sheet. Just as I turned around to read the darn thing, he smacked my butt.

"Really?" I questioned, looking at him.

He shrugged, making me shake my head as I went back reading the instructions with my back facing him. This boy is really something, but I love him anyway. Plus, I kind of do loved how we smacked my butt.

"I can tell you're smiling, Mel. You can't hide anything from me." He said, making me laugh.

Not even twenty minutes later, we managed to make our tent.
