I cheered as they said Derek's name.

He shook hands with the principal and the vice principal of the school as they handed him my diploma. Derek cheered at us as we applauded and took pictures of him.

"You're doing wonderful, baby." I thought.

Derek smiled as he sat back next to me, taking my hand in his.

"We did it." Derek whispered as people were still getting their diplomas. "We made it. Together."

"Yeah. But it's only legit with us, if and only if.." I said, pulling my hand away from his, so that we may do our secret handshake.

Slap each other's palms sideways, back of our hands, and fist-bump. We laughed as held each other's hand in happiness. I sneaked in a kiss before facing forward with only one of my hand holding on to his. I focused on the people getting their high school achievements.

"How different would graduation be if we didn't have a child?" Derek asked.

"Very. Graduation wouldn't be as worth it. It would be more for ourselves and our future than anyone else's. But I'm glad he's here. He makes this ceremony more meaningful." I responded.

Derek put a hand on my knee to get me to stop shaking.

"Don't be so nervous." responded

"I'm not." I fibbed.

"You are. I can tell you're nervous about everything after tonight. But everything will work out fine, if God wants it." He reassured me to calm my nerves.

"Yeah." I replied.

How to be a total conversation killer. Geez. I just don't have anything else to say. I mean to be honest, while I love Danny, life would be simpler. However, at this point, I can't imagine my life without him. I accept my life as it is and even though a life without a baby would be easy, I don't want it. As if he read my mind, Derek looked at me. I gave him a smile. And a kiss.

"You know, I think he heard us last." I said, nodding at Danny.

"Who didn't? You're quite a screamer." Derek smirk. "I'm planning to buy a soundproof house, so that when Danny and the rest of the kids go to sleep, we can make all of the noises we want."

"And the rest of the kids?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "You plan to have more, right?"

"Yeah, why not? Our jobs aren't the easiests, but it is still fun." Derek said, smiling. I looked at him in shock. I want more kids as well, but I wonder how many and the timing. "Don't worry. We won't have more until we're older."

I shook my head. "I was about to say..."

Derek laughed harder at that, sweeping his side bangs under his blue cap. He wrapped his arms around my body.

"You know I love you, right, baby?" Derek whispered in my ears. He kissed the lobe and nipped it. I couldn't help, but moan. I nodded my head. "Good." Derek kissed my head before releasing me.

I laughed as I straightened my hat out. At the moment, the teacher is going off about the pieces of paper that we wrote what we want for our future in our capsule in freshman year. I can vaguely remember mine. It's probably something basic about being successful enough to go to college.

"Melina Martinez wrote that she hopes to have a wonderful future with her lover walking with her through it." The teacher said, causing the audience to 'awww'.
