Hello, everyone! I am so happy to have finished this book for you guys to enjoy. Only the man from upstairs understands how thrilled I am to have the strength to finally finish it.
Advices:
Please do not take this book seriously. As I have said before, after graduating high school for a while, nothing in this book would work in real life.
- I wouldn't suggest to wait for marriage, because that never works. But I would say, wait until you find someone you love and for them to love you. I cannot tell you how much it would work better that way. Or, at least use protection. Use a condom and/or birth control. Please don't have kids until you're absolutely sure, you're ready. Take the time to graduate high school, go to college if that is where your life takes you, get a job, and at least wait until you find someone that love and trust with your whole heart. Luckily, Melly and Derek had each other, but 99.9% it isn't like that in real life. Get pregnant with another unstable teenager, it isn't likely to work out. And then, you're stuck all alone with a baby that you can't take care of. I mean if it happens, best of luck to you. But for prevention purposes, just wait. Please, wait!
- Don't get engaged to be married in high school. Be engaged with your studies, and other healthy activities. Join a club, or a sport team. Get a hobby. Volunteer. I know I am just as guilty as Hollywood for writing it in the storyline, but in my defense, Derek and Melly knew and loved each other. A lot. Plus, I thought how they did it, was cute. HOWEVER, please do not do that shit in real life. I have heard of students in my high school, getting proposed in the cafeteria during lunch time, and I cringed at the thought of it then, and I cringe at the thought of it now. Don't.Do.It. Again, not until you're at least stable enough to live a life outside of your parents' house.
- If you, or someone you know, is getting abused or violated in any way, like Brittany did in this book, do what you need to do. Listen to the victim. Don't judge. But ultimately, please contact someone. You never know how much that can save someone's life.
- If you, or someone you know, is suicidal, self harming, and/or ultimately going through some emotional stress, again, do what you need to do, but please contact someone, and get help. I may not know you, but I care about people a lot and I don't want to think about them hurting themselves in anyway. Help save a life, even if it's your own.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you don't want to be treated as a certain way, make sure to not treat people that way.
- Use protection.
Updates:
- I will edit this and I Found A Way, some time soon. I know it's not a perfect story. Please give me time to work on the flaws and plotholes.
- I will get around to Danny's sequel, after I fix his storyline. Like I did with teen pregnancy story, I will research my facts on what will be the topic for his story. But here is the basic premises of the story, tell me if you like it or not:
"I am the face of my high school's soccer team. I am also one of the top students in my class, and I help out at my parents' bookstore after school. I am well-liked and respected by my peers. But things took a twist, after I injured my knee during a game. Because of the treatment that I received for my knee, I started to get hooked onto pills the I have been prescribed to. Falling from grace, getting into trouble just to get my latest high. And on top of that, my mother is fighting for her life. I feel as if I let everyone down with my addiction. I am Daniel James Parker, but people call me, Danny. You've probably heard my parents' story, when they were teens. Here's mine. Enjoy."
Graditudes:
I cannot tell you guys how much it means to me to be on this journey. Even though I fell out of love with the story for a while, I eventually got back on my feet, and finished it! Thank you very much to take the time out of your to simply give me another read. I hope you guys enjoy it. Until then, have a wonderful life!
Xoxo,
M.
