'La la la~ la~' I hear someone sing in the middle of nowhere. It was a very warm and happy voice. I tried to find that voice, so I walked deeper.
Then in front of me what I saw was a beautiful place, a temple perhaps. Sadly it was in ruins. I looked all around me. The earth, the air, it's as if everything here is calling me. I walked in to the ruins. Near a fountain I saw girl glowing red singing that song.
Suddenly she stopped singing and looked into my direction. Tears fell from her eyes.
'Ae-ron? Aeron is that you?' she started to approach me and held my shoulders
'Wait- what are you-?'
'Aeron where have you been? Ever since you left, our defenses have declined! The rune spirits have gone missing! Even the temples became a war ground! And the greatest accident the oracles told us, it happened 14 years ago! Where have you been all these 16 years??'
'What are you talking about? I'm not-!' suddenly the name Aeron opened a memory on my mind. Where have I heard that name before?
'It's been a long time hasn't it? Ignis...' the black dragon on my mind spoke
'Aeron...' Ignis smiled
'Sadly the one you're seeing right now isn't my body, and I'm currently talking to you via telepathy. So would you kindly let go of this child?'
'Oh... sorry... then you are?'
'She is the child of the prophecies.'
I tried to process all the information. The black dragon's name is Aeron, the girl is Ignis, and I'm in a... prophecy?
'Oh? So this is the one. It's nice seeing your sister in person, Aeron.' She laughed
'Hi! I'm the dragon rune spirit of fire, Ignis. It's nice to meet you Ansha Draconis, your Highness.'
'Right now she goes by the name of Erida South. I led her here as promised, now can we get down to business?'
'Time out! What's all this you're talking about? Me being Aeron's sister? "your Highness"? And you led me here? Does that mean that smoke creature was your doing?'
'Technically, yes. I never thought it would work this good though.'
'How could you! If I miss a class I would be punished for sure!'
'Which is more important your studies or your life?'
'What kind of question is that?'
'Aeron is right Lady Ans– I mean Erida. This matter involves both your life and your kin.'
'Ignis, your report?'
'Yes, everything has been wiped out. All the rune spirits, except me, have gone missing. I say we find them first before doing anything else.'
'Wait a minute! Don't just ignore me! I have no idea what you both are talking about. Mind giving me the background info?'
'Erida, what the headmistress said about you is all true. I'm the proof of it. This place, DragonRune Temples, is where you're born. Something that you would call as a "glitch" happened and everyone here was tossed into the material world, and thus caused a huge fire to happen. When I heard that the elves have taken over our land and our kin, I rushed to at least save you, but my thoughts got thrown into yours by mistake and this happened.'
'Elves? I thought they're supposed to be harmless wood creatures?'
'Harmless? They're far from harmless! We of the dragon clan maintain the nature for everyone to share, but the elves wanted to keep the nature for their own! Elves are creatures of Mother Nature, true. But they're also one of the few creatures fully supported by magic, apart from us. Their destructive abilities are off charts!' Ignis said.
'Anyway, their leader, Ctron, has waged war with us thousands of times. This time they managed to capture the our father, the dragon king and his rune magicians thus leading our downfall. At least you're safe, our efforts weren't in vain.'
'Ctron's motive this time is to capture you, the blessed child of the dragon king. An oracle once told us that the blessed child of the dragon king might be the one to unleash us from our ancestor's curse of short life span and save the world from eternal doom.'
'Wait a minute! I can't do that, I can't even control my own powers. How can I break a curse and save the world?'
'Well, that's your decision. You have the ability to chose your own fate, use it wisely. I'm sending you back now this might hurt a bit. Remember to keep this a secret between us, and come back here again soon.' Ignis smiled and fades
Suddenly, unknown memories popped up into my head. What are these memories? What is this?
'Erida, are you okay? You look pale for a moment there...' Riuna called me.
Riuna? Where am I? I-I'm in the classroom, is all that talk about the dragon's curse a dream? I wanted to share my experience with Riuna, but I remembered Ignis' words. I looked out the window, promise myself to get back there somehow.
