Hola! Uhm, there's talk of drugs in this chapter. Probably not the way you think though. No one uses them or wants to use them. So chillax, broskis.

I parked my car in Ettie's driveway, and she jumped out of the car, skipping to her doorway. This girl was extremely happy...like nearly all the time. Giggling slightly, I shoved my keys into my purse and followed her to the door.

"Matthew! I'm home!" She called, motioning for me to sit on the couch.

"Finally. Dammit, Juliette. How many times have I to-" Her brother's voice cut off as he rounded the corner.

Woah, he was the kid I had talked to earlier... Now the 'no, I won't get you backstage' comment makes sense. I took in his appearance. Stretched ears, lip ring. Nice. He wasn't very muscular and wasn't wearing a shirt, which made me blush. All in all, pretty fucking attractive.

"You're that 'boyfriend' girl, right?" He asked.

Juliette gave him a confused glance and I nodded.

"I asked him if he knew where Jared was at the concert." I informed her.

"Oh, so you guys have met?"

"Not officially." I stood up extending my hand to him. "Sophia."

"Matt." He shook my hand and smiled.

"So, how old are you?" He questioned once I had retaken my seat.

"I am twenty years of age."

"Any criminal records, drug addictions or things of that nature I should know about?"

"Matthew!" Juliette yelled.

"Chill, Pinky." I giggled. "I was arrested twice for shoplifting, and once for possesion of a controlled substace. All of the charges were dropped. My friend is the one who actually stole, in both situations and he was the one with the drugs as well. I used to hang out with bad people, but I don't need that shit anymore. I'm a good girl, and you trust me with being a friend of your sister."

Ettie's jaw dropped.

"Controlled substance?" Matt asked.

"He had heroin in his pocket, I didn't know, I was wearing his jacket, we got pulled over and searched because his brother was under the influence of said substance and, with it being on me, I was arrested along with his brother. Jace admitted to the court it was his, I went through drug testing, and was then released. Wrong place, wrong time. Simple as that."

They both stared at me like I was insane.

"What? You asked. Did you want me to lie?" I questioned.

I wasn't ashamed of my past because well, I hadn't actually done anything bad. All three incidents were misunderstandings. Others had done them, and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, like I had just said. I wasn't a bad person. I had never done drugs, or stole, or even drank. The range of my bad habits was smoking, cigarettes of course, and cursing like a sailor. That was it. Neither was illegal. So there was no reason for me to be considered a bad person or a criminal.

Matt shook his head. "You're honest. I like that."

I smiled and crossed my legs. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad.
