I paced the floor of my living room nervously. It was Saturday and Matt was due to be at my house any minute. I was panicking. My brother walked into the living room to grab Alec's carseat.
"Wait! Where you going?" I shouted nervously.
"Sophia, you need to relax. We're going to the park."
I had never been alone with Matt, besides the like, ten seconds we were in his bedroom when I first met him. It's not like I didn't trust him, because I did, I was just incredibly nervous. Also, since I have a small crush on him, it made me feel awkward and shy.
"But-bu-"
"Sophia Monroe Silverfield. Calm the fuck down. Why are you so wound up?"
"I'm nervous." I pouted.
"Why?"
"I like him.."
The doorbell rang and I squealed.
"Sophie. Chill." My brother laughed.
I was freaking out. I was anxious about making a fool of myself, and because I liked him, it was amplified by a thousand. Taking slow deep breaths, I nodded to him. Come on, Sophia, it's just Matt. You talk to him every day. Calm your shit, dude. By the time my brother had gone to answer the door, I had relaxed somewhat.
"Sooooppphhhiiaaaaa, you have a visitoooorrr!" My brother sang out.
I rolled my eyes and stood as he brought Matthew into the room. My brother winked at me as he hugged me.
"I missed you, Soph."
I could feel myself blushing.
"I missed you too."
"Well, I'll leave you two lovebirds alone." My brother chuckled.
"Shut the hell up." I growled under my breath.
Tony rolled his eyes.
"Just be good to my sister."
Matt chuckled and shook his hand. "Always."
My brother picked up the car seat that held his child, saluted us and then left. I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes as Matt stared at me.
"You wanna watch a movie?" I mumbled, nervously.
He smiled. "Sure."
I wouldn't have to talk during a movie, so that was a good plan. I searched through our movie collection looking for a specific movie. The whole time, though, I couldn't shake the feeling of Matt's eyes on me. When I found what I was searching for, I handed it to him.
"That okay?"
He looked at it and smiled. "Peter Pan. Perfect."
