"So," I started as I took a bite of the cooked fish, its juices soaking my mouth with the flavor. "Where'd you grow up?" I asked Ruju, who was digging into the lunch I had made before he came.

He swallowed the mouthful with haste, "Well, I was born in Tigerspine Mountains, but moved to Lutesong Harbor when I was a kit." He explained, "I also had my Battlerage training there." He scooped another mouthful of fish into his mouth, savoring the flavor.

"What made you visit Juan's Ranch?" Ruju asked, pushing the empty plate away from him slightly.

"Well, I've known Juan from his visits to Falcorth and I figured he'd keep Kronus and Apex a secret. Drawing attention to myself by having Nuian spawn with me wouldn't be the wisest thing." I responded, taking both mine and his plates and setting them on the counter. "But once they're trained I'll let them walk around."

Ruju nodded, "I've noticed that anything to do with Nuia is frowned upon here." He paused for a second, "Though I guess it does make sense, the continents are rivals after all."

I muttered agreement, "Want to help me train the pups?" I asked, already walking out of the house with both the small Nuians following close behind. I could hear him get up from his chair and follow heavily on his paws behind me. "You need to get lighter on your feet, Battlerage." I commented sarcastically.

He just laughed in response, purposely making his steps louder. My feet glided across the ground in brisk motions, barely making contact with the soil that lay underneath.

I had found a flat grassy area behind the house, perfect for training two energized pups. "Alright, let's get started, shall we?"

By the time we stopped, the sun was going down. Both Kronus and Apex were trained well, I figured they could defend either me or Ruju if either of us was attacked. I yawned loudly, and dragged myself into the warm house.

Ruju was close behind, and nearly sprinted upstairs to the beds. I sighed to myself, shaking my head as I followed, plopping into the closest bed.

I almost got crushed by the Nuian spawn as they flung themselves onto me and curled up on either side of my legs. "Goodnight, Ruju." I slurred.

I heard a faint 'meow' come from Ninja as she layed on Ruju's chest. "Night, Hakumei."

Between drama, more drama, school starting again, and terrible writers block it's kinda a pain

Btw I re-read last chapter to figure out where I was going with this thing and??? Plot holes omg???

I also think I was a better writer back in January but oH WELL
