Also I'm really sorry that I haven't updated in like, 2 months o_o.
---I awoke early morning, it looks as if the sun was just staring to rise. Sighing, I stood from the floor that I slept on last night. There wasn't any furniture yet, we'll have to change that once Ruju gets situated.
My daggers and bow were rested near the door, also on the hardwood floor. I grabbed the light obsidian weapons in my paws, looking them over without their sheaths. I'd have to go to Veroe to sharpen them before I try to do anything.
The sun was up higher when I went outside into the cool Hasla air, though it was still fairly dark. Arashi was still dozing, I didn't want to both him so I just walked.-
Veroe was beautiful, but it's beauty truly shone through in the darkness. Lanterns lighting the pathways and small flames on the side of buildings. Not many people were awake to see the sight, a true shame.
I noticed the large stone wheel almost instantly, it's bulky cobble structure standing out among the smooth paths and wooden buildings. I walked over, taking one dagger from its sheath and started to sharpen it.
Once finished with both I went up to an elder woman who was selling fresh goods. "Can I have some fish, berries, and pineapple?" I asked, figuring I could cook lunch for us later.
"Of course, dear," she replied, her voice was steady, "are you from around here?"
I shook my head, "I used to live in Falcorth, but I just moved in right outside of town."
She smiled and finished getting everything, "Enjoy your day, that'll be 10 silver" and handed me a bag, the contents smelling amazing.
I gave her 15, uttering a 'keep the change' while walking away and heading back home.-
I arrived back at the newly bought guild house and started on lunch. Chopping up the fish and tossing it in a pot to cook while slicing up the pineapple into thick slices.
The food was done just before it was time to leave, so I left it on the counter to cool. I saddled up Arashi and rode back to Veroe.
It didn't take me long to spot Ruju, Ninja at his side. A faint smile formed on my mouth as I called out "Ruju! Good to see you again!"His head snapped towards me direction before his face lit up and he found himself prancing over, Ninja trailing on his flank. "Hi, Hakumei. Where's the new house at?"
I frowned slightly, "Not even a 'good to see you too, how've you been?'" chuckling a little, "Oh well, its this way come'on." I saddled up Arashi and sped off. I was surprised to see that his Snowlion was keeping pace, though if it was raised in Falcorth it should've been assumed. I lowered my body to the point my torso was brushing against the saddle as Arashi weaved through the few other houses or gardens near our base. We slowed to a stop and I slid off with ease, gesturing to the two story house with a balcony covering part of the upper floor. "Here's the beauty, isn't it wonderful?" I asked. I wasn't really expecting an answer because when I looked over at Ruju his jaw was parted with amazment, which sent me into laughter.
He snapped out of his awe and glared at me, "What's so funny?" He demanded. Tears started to form in the corners of my eyes as I attempted to calm down.
"N-nothing," I spit out, "You're just looking at the house like it's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen" My laughing calmed to a faint giggle, then stopped completely. I cleared my throat briefly before continuing, "Alright, I'll give you the grand tour, hmm?" I spoke as I opened the doors and nearly getting killed by Kronus and Apex. "Damnit," I cursed as their growling turned into licking my face.
Ruju nearly collapsed on the ground from laughing so hard, "Wow, those are some really good guard hounds you got there" he remarked as he walked in past me and the two mounds of fluff. I picked the two pups up and walked in behind him.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, don't get too smart on me, I'll let them attack you without remorse" I closed the door skillfully with my tail and set the pups down, letting them run around the house like a couple of Firran kits who've had too much milk. I nodded my head in the direction of a couple couches and a footrest-worthy table, "That's the livingroom, and there's the kitchen" I added pointing to a row of counters and a small fridge.
"So it's like a normal house?" Ruju asked.
I nodded slowly, "I guess for you, I grew up in a traditional Firran village in Falcorth so even sleeping under anything but sky is weird for me" I took a moderately deep breath before I continued, "So, upstairs."
It wasn't really much, there was five small beds each with a nightstand. "This is pretty much just the area to sleep, what's really cool is the balcony" my smile became larger as I opened the doors that lead outside and admired the view, "Now this, is beautiful"
Ruju was just as breathless, I could only assume he was more amazed than I was. "Come, I made some lunch before you got here. I wanna ask you some stuff while we eat." And made my way downstairs.
