Janessa pov

My first day of freshman year. And I don't know anybody. How is it possible that none of my middle school friends are here with me? I know I look stunning in my outfit. A mint green crop top with high waist black jeans and mint green converse. my name is Janessa Burke. We just moved from Miami, Florida two years ago. I quickly tied my hair in a rough bun. We had algebra as first period. The teacher was a boring looking dude. I literally spent the whole hour staring at Mr hotpants in front of me. His name was Nathan. He was perfection. He was blonde with blue eyes and a cute smile. Other girls looked at him too. Twenty minutes before the end of the class, a girl entered. She had brown eyes and brown hair. She wore a blue crop sweater with jeans and boots. She carried a blue Victoria secret bag which was from last season's collection. I looked at her face. She looked back at me and smiled. Oh my gosh. I must've been staring at her. I smiled back and she came to sit next to me. We didn't talk though cause the teacher was the strict kind. We had a few classes together during the day. When it was time for lunch, I walked behind Nathan and his best bud, Shawn. They went to sit by the jocks. I guess Nathan was going to join the school football team,which makes him even cuter. I sat by a table where I could watch him. The new girl came to my table.
"Uh hey. Is this seat taken?"

"No. You can sit."

"Thanks. I am Victoria by the way. Victoria Martinez. "

"Oh great. I am janessa Burke . You can call me nessa."

"Nessa. Cool name. You can call me Tori"

"Oh OK. So...where are you from?"

"Tampa Florida. My dad got transferred."

"Are you serious?... I moved to California from Miami two years ago for the same reason "

"Wow. Thats cool."

"Uh hum". I couldn't help but notice Nathan obviously laughing at an inside joke. I sighed a little too loud. Tori looked at me.

"Falling for Nathan already,aren't. You?

"What?..me?..of course not. I mean why would I like the fact that that his smile is so..so.."

."damn cute. I know right?"..

"Yeah...not that I noticed"

She rolled her eyes. I bit a piece of my donut. She tapped me.
"Oh my gosh,nessa...Nathan totally just looked at this table"

I looked up,quickly wiping off the frostings on my mouth. He looked here?..was she sure? Was he looking at me?..I mean,yeah I am pretty,of course he's looking at me. I literally look perfect today,I mean,why not? Its the first day of high school. I made sure I picked my outfit from this years kardashian collection which I got from my aunt who works as a producer in Hollywood. Did I mention that I have two aunts working in Hollywood?... Tori tapped me. Oh my God. She was saying something and I totally tuned her out. What should I say?.
"Uh,yeah,sure"

Shes smiling. That must be the answer to what she just asked.

"Great. See you tomorrow at seven then. Give me your number and address"

Oooh....she wants to come to my house tomorrow. I quickly gave her my number and address . She said she had to go. I said bye,and started going to the locker room. I felt a hand on my shoulder . I turned around. It was Nathan and Shawn was with him. Oh my gosh. I was going to enter the ground just now. Why would he want to talk to me?He was totally gonna ask me out.
"So uh...janessa,is it?"

"Yeah. You can call me nessa though."

"Oh OK. Great,nessa. Can I ask you something?its quite important"

"Totally. Anything"

"Oh OK. Well, its about your friend,the other girl at lunch today."

I didn't like where this was going. What does our future relationship have to do with Tori?

"Yeah?what about her?"

"Do you know if she's doing anything tomorrow at seven? "

Oh my God. He has nerves. Is he really asking her out?..

"Here's her number.you ask her yourself."

"Oh OK then. Let me have her number,nessa"

"Here it is. And its janessa. Only friends call me nessa"

"But you just said.."

"I know what I just said".

And I walked away.

So there.Thats my first real story on wattpad. Don't forget to comment about ways I can improve this. I really need constructive criticism right now. :)...
