Stop Dancing, Dad! (Peter Quill x Son!Reader) [Request]

It was a request I've got.

"Dad....", said a (h/c) (h/l) human while watching his father. He would have never thought that his father, Peter Quill, or how other people would call him Star-Lord, was THAT embarrassing.

In your past, you never met your father. You didn't even know him. The only thing you knew was his name, thanks to your mother. They weren't married and had probably a one-night stand.
After you heard some stories of him, you decided that you would search for him and be on his side. That's why you ran away from home when you were only 10 years old. Days, months and some years passed and then, you found him or more... He found you. He saved you from some thugs a living tree and a speakable raccoon.

"Boy, you know how your father is. Stupid. Incompatible. And... An idiot.", told you the smirking raccoon, Rocket.
"I know...", you sighed, rolling your (e/c) eyes after you saw what Peter did.
"Dad. Would you PLEASE stop it! That's so embarrassing...", you whispered the last sentence while sliding slightly down your chair.
"I am Groot." "Yes. He IS an idiot. Poor boy is his son. Thank goodness that you aren't like HIM."

As you three eyed your father how he jumped on the table and continued to dance, you decided to leave the diner. Maybe it was really an unintelligent idea to be with the Guardians of the Galaxy. When you stood up, you felt an arm around your shoulder, dragging you to the middle of the room. "Dad... We are here in a diner. Would you please stop danc-", but unfortunately, your brown haired father didn't listen to you. No. He danced and started to sing now.

"Oh no... Nothing is going to be 'wonderful' and all....", you sighed, facepalming as you freed yourself from his grip.
"Aww, come on, my dear (y/n)! Why don't you wanna sing and dance with your dad?", asked Peter and pouted, hugging you tightly.
"Because it's embarrassing! Now, would you please stop hugging me!? Everyone is staring-"

But Star-Lord didn't listen again. Instead he took your hands, spinning you around as he laughed. While you must dance with your father, your friends, Rocket and Groot were watching the scene and laughing at you. "I have truly wonderful friends....", you thought, tramping on your father's foot.

Minutes and maybe even hours passed and the only thing that the people in the diner heard Peter's singing voice, the laugh of your friends and you facepalming.

"Guys. We need to go. Where are Peter and (y/n)?", asked Gamora, rushing into the diner and behind her was Drax.
Groot pointed with his large tree finger at you, while Rocket still laughed, spitting his drink out of his mouth as he saw your angry face. "That's just hilarious!!! Let's stay here! Please!", begged Rocket the purple haired woman.
"Sorry, Rocket. We need to go."

Rocket sighed and stood up with Groot, walking to your direction. "Sorry, Star-Lord, but we need to go.", said Rocket, snickering at his sad face.
"Already? But-" "Ohhh... How sad! Come let's go, dad. How it seems, we need to go.", you faked your sadness, rushing out of the building.

~Time Skip~

"Gamora. How can I thank you!? I hated it to dance with dad... And his music taste. It's just horrible...", you sighed in happiness, embracing your older friend.
"You are welcome, kid. I know how you feel. Peter is really...-" "Just say it loud! Everyone knows that he is dumb as sh*t!!", yelled Rocket from another room, groaning out of pain as he got a slap on his head from Star-Lord.
"I am not dumb.", he said, walking into the room where you stood with Gamora.

"But you don't need to be upset, son! We can still DANCE!!", chimed Peter happily, while dragging you to his room as his old music started to play.

"Oooooh noooo!!"
