Tip #11-BE OPEN MINDED
Okay, so this tip could go hand in hand with our first tip, being creative, and several other tips. You be the judge of which ones haha. However, I will mention the difference here from the others. By being open minded, you are accepting different ideas, you are exploring new things, and you are experiencing a bunch of story lines.
In order to be a good writer, you want to have an open mind. You want to look at new things and take notes of them. For example, you don't want to just stick with one form of writing such as the same genre. You want to try new things, play around a bit with your words, and just see what you write best in. You'll be surprised to realize you can sometimes write on other topics that you thought you could never do.
Another thing to understand about being open minded is this. You need to, not only accept whatever comment/feedback you receive, you want to see if you can somehow grasp what your commenters are offering you and see if you can somehow implant it in your writing. Of course though, you want it to be original by creating your own style of writing but by using the feedback you received to your advantage. You don't want to take their full idea because it won't be original if you do.
Overall, to be open minded, you need to be bold, creative, inspired, and persistent. You need to take that leap and then you'll realize you can improve even more. :)
