I sat in a black chair outside my uncles office. For some reason he wanted Nathan and I to meet but to meet separately. I chewed the inside of my cheeks. This was frustrating to me for some reason. Here this guy comes, whisking both of us to Atlanta and all of a sudden he wants us to separated? It felt weird. Like I was going against myself.

The door opened and out walked both my brother and a man which I assumed was my uncle. Well duh who else would it be?

My uncle patted Nathan on his back and he smiled nervously. "Well, it was nice meeting each you. Go ahead and hang out with your friends. And don't forget, you start school bright early Monday morning." Nathan nodded and jerked his chin towards me as a hello. I raised my eyebrow at him. He was hiding something wasn't he?

My uncle glanced over at me and he smiled proudly. "Please come in Aria." He turned on his heels and walked into his office. I tried to look over at my brother but he was already out the building. Not even a bye?

I walked solemnly into his office which went against everything in this school. The theme was clearly wood and he must have missed the memo by having glass. Everything was so.. clear.

I sat down in the chair facing his desk. My uncle stood looking out the window. Total cliche. "Aria, do you know how long I've waiting for you and your brothers arrival?" He said smoothly. My uncle was I guess a handsome man. His hair was dark with a couple streaks of gray. "Not really." I replied honestly. I've been asking this question since I got here.

His expression was void as he continued to stare out the window. "I don't expect you too. Has your father told you anything about me? About the true reason why your here?" His voice was drenched in authority I almost laughed. Authority always annoyed me and I never get along with it. I knew this man was going to be a problem and i'd be practically living in this office.

"When I say not really I meant not at all. He told me you would tell me?" I tried my hardest to make my worst come out softer but I couldn't help the edge to it. He turned to face me then and I noticed his dark eyes similar to my fathers. It looked like black orbs and made me shiver slightly by the intensity of the stare only. "Yes, I suppose I don't blame him. But I'm not ready to tell you quite yet. You will find out soon enough though." He smiled and it was genuine. My lips twitched into a smirk. This guy is kidding me right? "So my father sends me off here with no explanation as to why and I finally get a chance to come in your office to find out why and you can't tell me?" I was bitter I know and my angry wasn't meant to be directed at him. But this was irritating!

He sat down and put his hands together never breaking his gaze with me. "You have a spark, just like your mother." My chest tightened. I clenched my fist. How dare he bring up my mother like he knows me. "Don't talk about her. Period." I spat at him standing up. The truly sad part was I wasn't even mad I was sad. Just bringing her up made me that way.

He put his hands up in surrender. "Aria, your father brought you and your brother here for your own good. You'll be learning a lot about yourself and your family background." He coughed and smiled a little. "Excuse me, our family background. All good things come to those who wait." He added. I stomped towards the door and held on to the doorknob. "I don't know you and I don't care to. Your the person in charge and you may be my uncle but it all doesn't matter to me. I'll find answers my own way." I twisted the doorknob and walked out not expected a response. But behind me I silently heard. "You will regret that when the time is right." Forget him and his bullshit.

A/N: I know this is probably super short but I wanted to put at least SOMETHING up. Hope you guys enjoy!
