Nathan and I ran past a corner and stopped to take a breath.

"Who was that?" He said in between breaths. "I know the male voice..." I said finally my body shaking instinctively. "I'm pretty sure that was that thing that attacked me except it voice was more.. humanish." Nathan raised his eyebrow at me in confusion.

"I mean when he talked to me before it was.. an deeper and more sinister. But behind that door it sounded more like a human." I huffed. "Do you think we should tell the Dean?" He said suddenly looking at me questionably. I managed to snort with the limited amount of air I have.

"So he can what? Tell us what we're suppose to do in the future. The dean is really useless to us. We should probably talk to Xenia or something. Someone can help us figure this out." I said. A part of me really did want to find the dean and talk to him and the other half wanted to call dad.

Nathan sighed. "Okay so then what do you suppose we do now? We can't exactly go back and fight whoever they are." He said. "Why not?"

"Because we don't know how to control our powers fully. We could start messing things up and only hurting ourselves." He said raising his voice a little. I glared at him. "I know how to handle my fire thank you very much. It doesn't take that long for the spark to ignite." I snapped.

He was only frustrating me more. He glared his eyes at me too. "Don't sound like you're some kind of expert. I bet you can't control it when hormones are in crazy."

I blinked at him. Huh? "What do you mean my hormones are crazy?" He drew his attention from me to above my head and I followed his eyes to were Luke was standing only a few feet away coming towards us.

My pulse sped up and I caught my breath. This boy. Was not. Wearing. A shirt.

My veins began to heat up and the tips of my fingers had fire on them. Nathan looked down and blew gently blowing out the fire. "See what I mean?" He said crossing his arms. I rolled my eyes but continued to look at Luke was still getting closer to us.

"Just because I'm attracted to a guy doesn't mean my hormones are off balance." I mumbled angrily. He shook his head. "When will you stop being so stubborn?"

I shrugged my shoulders and he sighed again. Luke ran up towards us and gave Nathan a high five. "Hey dude." He said to Nathan and his eyes fell on mine. "Hey Aria."

I smiled and said nothing nodding my head as my verison of hello. Keep my power in check. Why all of a sudden is this happening now? I need to talk to Xenia.

"I was just going for a run. You guys wanna join?"

Nathan suddenly tore his shirt off and walked besides Luke. "I'm in. Give me a chance to show off this beautiful body." He said rubbing his tummy. He had abs but I would never call them that. I'd much rather insult him and call them flab.

"As much as I would love to take my top off and run with the wolves I have to go meet Xenia and ask her something." I said trying to keep my attention to Luke's eyes and not his perfectly sculpted body.

Luke looked a little concerned. "You okay Aria you seem a little shaken up?" He moved his hand to my chin and move my face side to side observing it. My face was warming. This wasn't a good sigh.

My focus point was my chin and that's exactly what he was touching. Within seconds my fire reached my face and he drew his hand back quickly. "What was that?" He cried.

Nathan grabbed Luke's hand and pulled him towards the opposite direction. "She must be catching a fever or something. Within our family fever's are really bad. Come on let's run." Nathan started jogging and Luke followed behind him rubbing his hand.
