By Friday morning, Tori was totally drained. She was in a very indolent mood. She knew that next week was pep rally so she tried to psych herself up. The school colors of Blue Mountain high school were blue, white and silver. On her way to school she noticed some stoners outside the town library which was right next to the school, smoking a joint before class. Ah, the struggles of being a teenager can easily go away by inhaling some chemicals. Tori was never the stoner type. She never touched weed and never planned on doing it whatsoever. She gave her mom a kiss goodbye and walked into school. She waited outside the locker rooms for Britain to arrive. She saw Steven and Nolan walk by, and they were talking about miles. Miles had gotten into a fight yesterday at the end of the day and got suspended for three days. Before Tori could ever process what she just heard, Nolan distracted her with a smile and a wave. She waved back and Steven saw. "Oooooh." Steven said to Nolan. Nolan and Steven walked down to the main office with their ice coffees. Britain walked in and Tori told her that miles was also suspended. Britains eyes widened. "The one day I don't come to school. Freaking aye." Britain said throwing her hands up in the air. Tori shrugged and shook her head. They talked about pep rally being next week and then the A period bell rang. Mr Howard had partner work set up for us. He partnered us up with the same people. This time, Nathan moved closer to Tori. "Hey small fry." He said with a smile. The butterflies fluttered again. "Hey....tall fry." She laughed. "Oh my gosh Tori what are you saying!?" She thought to herself but hid it with a smile. He laughed. When they finished, his 6"4' tall self stood up and gave her a smile. "Thanks for the uh, assistance." He said. "Oh no problem." She said with a smile. "You so like him." Britain whispered into Tories ear after Nathan went back to his seat. "No, I'll admit he is cute but I don't like him." Tori giggled. Britain rolled her eyes with a smile as she went back to her seat. Tori peered her eyes over at Nathan and he was joking with his friends as he took a banana out of his backpack and used it as a telephone. He saw Tori watching and he smiled at her. She giggled. "She's hiding the fact that she likes him." Miguel said to Britain. "Yeah totally." Britain replied.
By the end of the day, Tori was a little weirded out to be near Adrian after the stunt he pulled. She sat in her seat and Ms. Caroline came in. "Okay everyone we are going to be changing classrooms, so everyone grab your stuff and move to room 67." She said motioning us up. We all walked to our new history class, room 67. Tori and Britain sat next to each other. Ryder and Adrian sat in front of Britain and Tori. Adrian didn't say anything, he just talked with Ryder and laughed at each other's lame jokes. "What's up Tori." Adrian said putting emphasis on her name. "Hi." She replied. During class, Adrian kept throwing tiny paper balls behind him at Tori. "What're you doing??" She asked. "I'm not doing anything." He laughed. She crossed her arms and looked at Ryder. "Please tell him to stop." She said to Ryder. "Stop asshole." Ryder said laughing at Adrian. Adrian laughed and spent the rest of class talking to Ryder about his basketball game and his dirt bike. Britain talked with her friend Max and Tori talked with her friend Harrison. Once the bell rang, Britain and Tori walked in the halls to the front doors to leave. Tori saw Nathan walking and noticed a girl smile and him and him reciprocate. She felt a bit of animosity. She hid it by telling herself she didn't like him. That weekend, Tori and Britain went shopping to buy their pep rally stuff.
