As soon as the bike came to a halt, I jumped of a laid across the pavement.
"Land, how I love you so much" I moaned my head tilting slightly from the weight of the helmet.
"Oh get up you baby, I wasn't even going that fast" Danny said holding out his hand helping me up and taking off the helmet.
"I thought we were going to crash" I screeched punching him in the chest which ended up causing me more pain than him.
"Jesus, your chest made out of steel or something?" I groaned kissing my knuckles he chuckled and took my hand kissing it lightly making me shiver.
"All muscle baby" He whispered making my legs weak, and then with that he walked away and towards the door.
"Come on then" He called from the door; I quickly grabbed my bag and ran to the door following him inside.
"You want a drink?"
"Yes please." I grinned. "Coke? Lemonade?" Danny asked.
"Coke." I replied and he nodded before taking off down the stairs. I watched him as he walked away, noticing how his shirt rode up his side a few centimetres with every step giving me a flash of tanned skin.
He disappeared down the stairs and I started to search for something to do. Moving to his desk, I picked up the first thing I saw which turned out to be a scrapbook of his pictures. It was amazing to say the least. Each page depicted a different event starting from about two months ago.
The first few pictures consisted of him and an older woman, whom I assumed was his mother, on a beach. On about the fourth page, I came across a picture of a beautiful girl.
It was taken from behind so you couldn't see her face but she had long curly hair that trailed down her back. A pair of wings and a halo had been edited in and the picture was arranged on a background of pale blue tissue paper.
The girl was sat on a set of steps that led up to the school doors and Danny had been stood at the top when he took the picture. She was reading or doing homework as she was bent over a book, her hair tumbling to one side.
I heard footsteps behind me and saw Daniel coming through the door carrying two glasses of coke and a bag of biscuits. I rushed forwards to help him by pulling the biscuits out from between his arm and his side where they had been squeezed to stop them falling.
"I thought you might like a snack." He commented and he walked over to the desk. He froze when he saw the open scrapbook where I had left it.
"Danny, who's the girl?" I asked pointing at her. He looked at me and mumbled something that sounded like "Just some girl."
Taking my coke, I picked it up again and began to flick through even further. I got to the prom photos and a gorgeous picture of Miley and Jack surfaces but I wasn't interested in that. Maybe, just maybe, Danny would know who my Prince was if he saw the picture.
I continued, pausing for a second when I found the picture of me outside. It had been taken without me realising - when I was halfway through laughing at his determination to get a picture of me. Next to it was another picture of me, the one I had posed for. It didn't look as good as the other one...
"Why are there no pictures of me and my prince?" I asked after reaching the end. There wasn't a single one. I could remember Danny coming over a few times as well but I couldn't find any of our pictures.
"Your prince?" He asked.
"Yeah the guy I was dancing with. I really want to know who he is." I sighed leaning back against his desk.
"He just seemed so perfect, you know?"
"The magic is in the mystery." He muttered without meeting my eyes.
"You know who it is!" I squealed grabbing his hand I forced him to meet my eyes.
"Who is it?" He let out a deep sigh before telling me.
"It's Carl."
"Carl?"
"Carl Sanchez. He's a jock. He's on the school football team." Danny explained.
"Oh wow." I gasped. I had a jock, a jock wanting me to go out with him! Little old me had attracted him!
"Hayley, I-"
"Carl Sanchez." I tested, letting his name roll across my tongue. Hayley Sanchez. Hmmm... He was quiet good-looking if I remembered right.
"Yeah."
"So, don't we have some photos to develop or something?" I smiled and Danny let a small smile enter his facial features again.
"Okay. My dark room's this way." He told me. We left his bedroom and I followed him down a corridor into the room at the end. It was pitch black inside and Danny started to fiddle around with all the equipment while I stood there awkwardly.
"Danny?"
"Yes?"
"That girl, do you like her?" I asked nervously.
"Very much so." He said. I jumped, shocked by how close he was.
"W-Who is she?"
"She someone every other girl in our school should be envious of. She's so beautiful that angels are jealous. And she's so perfect that every guy in our school crave just one bit of her attention." Danny described.
"But she was new so no one dared approach her. She floated around with a royal air around her, not noticing all the admiring looks she’s constantly receiving."
"That doesn't tell me who he is..." I interrupted.
"She's closer to home than you expect." He whispered and before I had time to consider his words his lips were pressing against mine. The shock filled me first. The shock that Danny was kissing me and then the realisation that I was that girl and then, then I was kissing him back.
It scared me how good he could make me feel with the simplest touch. The sparks that flew as he brushed his fingers across my cheek. My heart racing as he nibbled on my lips requesting entrance into my mouth. And finally the happiness that flowed when our tongues touched.
I let my hands slide up from where they were at his waist and they disappeared under his shirt. I could feel the soft grooves of his muscular chest and I let my fingers trail along them. He let out a moan and I felt the excitement inside of me double.
He was such an amazing kisser; he knew exactly how to make me feel pleasure as he dropped kisses along my neck. I tilted my head back, giving him more room and he used it eagerly.
Then it struck me, you couldn't just be this good. How many other girls had he done this to? I pushed him away, and just in time as I felt his fingers at my shirt buttons. He was going to- On our first kiss.
"Hayley-" he started.
"Don't try to fix things." I hissed. "I don't want to speak to you again."
His face dropped, and he tried to walk closer to me but I backed away.
"What did I do?"
"Just leave me alone." I pulled the door open and ran out of it. Taking the steps two at a time, I got down his staircase and burst out his front door. Racing down the street, I brushed away the tears that were threatening to pour from my eyes.
At least something good had come out of this: I now knew who my Prince Charming was.
