With that sorted, Aaron took Drake away to get some stuff from the storeroom for the next day. I was left to wander about in the house with no one around, except my inner fangirl screaming and jumping and dancing every other second. I pulled out my phone and took a picture of the place to show Emily. I had just reached the photo frame on the mantel when I heard someone clear their voice from behind him. Bewildered, I turned around to see Adrian trying hard not to smile.

"Oh. Hi."

"Sarah, what exactly were you doing?" He asked, still having a funny expression on his face.

"Just... just checking the place out. I hope you don't mind." I shrugged.

"I don't. But the pictures you took, I don't know about that." I relaxed a little because his tone was light, and not exactly accusing.

"Um, I only took one. As a memory. If it's a problem I'll delete them. I didn't mean to-"

"Relax, I was kidding. You're so silly around Aaron, though. Really."

"Thanks." I blushed, though for what I don't know. "Hey. Why aren't you at school? I thought Aaron came to drop you?"

At this, he laughed. "Aaron came to bring you over. Apparently, we need a pair of good eyes and ears to check out our rehearsals."

I wanted to ask who he was quoting, but I wanted to believe they were Aaron's words so I didn't ask him but convinced myself of the same. So I asked him what I had been waiting for.

"So, Adrian, can I ask you for something?" I gave him my best puppy-eyes look.

"Uh, sure?"

"Aaron told me that you keep all your photographs in your room. Can I see them?" Quickly, I added. "I promise I won't take any pictures of them."

Adrian looked at me like he isn't sure but then laughed lightly and asked me to follow him. Which I did.

We stopped in front of a dead end. There were twin doors in front of us, and Adrian smileed a mischievous smile at me.

"You get to look at both the rooms. And then you'll have to guess which is mine and which is..." he winked.

I inhaled sharply. No matter how much I reminded myself that I'm Aaron's friend now, that I'm Adrian's friend as well and that this is normal, I kept getting caught up in the fangirling tornado. I swallowed hard and pushed open the door on my right. The room was pretty normal, clearly a musician's room. Instead of what I was expecting, thanks to Drake, there weren't any empty Coke cans or any half empty pizza boxes. It was neat, organised and well maintained. I stepped back from the room and turned towards the other room. When I opened the door on my left, I was stunned. It was exactly the same as the other one. Plain white walls, wooden flooring, a black beanbag beside the bed and guitar that was hanging in the exact same place as in the other room. If there was anything different in here, it was the stack of books on the shelves. Loads of books.

"So? Have you decided which room belongs to whom?" He smirked.

I looked at Adrian begrudgingly. I didn't want to lose, but it was nearly impossible to guess. Also, I had no idea who of the two brothers were into reading. Aaron surely had never mentioned anything about books, so I crossed my fingers and took a wild guess.

"The one on the left is Aaron's and the one on the right is yours?"

He looked at me like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. I took that as my cue and grinned my victory grin. He let me do my little victory dance as well, before he started shaking his head at me.

"Whatever gave you the idea that I was into reading?" He said, sounding almost like he was hurt. "And I thought you knew about Aaron. How could you be so oblivious to his one favourite pass time?"

I stopped my dance and stood frozen, I couldn't believe I had lost. It was a test, about Aaron, and I had lost! I let out a groan.

"Please don't tell Aaron. Pleasssse!" I begged.

"Don't tell Aaron what?" I heard Aaron's voice and turned, my eyes growing wider with every passing second. "What did you do, Sarah Ava Buckley?" He teased.

"Ava's her middle name? How cute." Adrian whistled.

"She told you her middle name? Whoa." Drake said, at the same time as Adrian.

"She doesn't tell people her middle name?" Aaron asked, looking from Drake to me and back to Drake.

"No, she hates it." Drake shrugged.

"But it's such a cute name! And by the way, what were you both doing here anyway?" Aaron asked Adrian.

Before he could open his mouth, I shot him a look so he promptly backed away and went to order pizza.

"We were about to look at Adrian's photographs. He was going to show me." I smiled sweetly.

"Hm. Go on, then. The one on the right is-"

"Adrian's." I finished for him.

"Oh, he told you?"

"But, of course." When he gave me a quizzical look, I add, "Adrian showed me both the rooms and asked me to guess which one belongs to whom, but I didn't know you were into reading so I guessed it wrong and then he told me." I breathe out.

"Honestly, that kid loves pulling your leg. When I texted him to let him know I was bringing you over, he told me he was going to 'test you himself'."

Aaron pushed open the door to his brother's room and led me in. "Welcome," he said, grinning.

I spent half an hour cooing and ogling at Adrian's photographs. He was such a cute kid, even more cuter than he's now. There were a few photographs of Aaron as well, from when he was a kid, but Aaron didn't let me look at them for long. He admitted that he wasn't as cute as Adrian and that he'd better not let my good opinion of him fade. That made me blush, and I had to cough to hide it.

"You hadn't told me this was preplanned," I said, once we were walking out of the room.

"I knew you wouldn't mind," he said, giving me a sly smile.

Huh. He thinks he can get away with anything? Stupid guy. Strike that. Gorgeous, stupid guy. Yep.

"So, what's your next stop? Wanna take a tour around my room as well or does only Adrian interest you now?" He asked, tongue in cheek.

"Well, I really don't have my heart in it but if you insist, sure. Show me around." I mock rolled my eyes.

Aaron cocked his head to the side, his smile growing wider, and pulled me a little too hard. I was caught off guards, so I banged into him and we stumbled into the room. I pouted at him.

"This is my little kingdom. I hope the plain white walls don't disinterest you, milady."

"I'm not even noticing anything else," I muttered under my breath.

"I heard that." He grinned. He was still holding me by my elbows so I looked up at him. His gaze, for a very short moment, shifted and fell on my lips. Realising that I noticed it, his face broke into a small smile.

"If my brother wasn't on his way back, I'd have kissed you now," he whispered to me, before letting go of me.

And just like that, I knew that I was in love. With Aaron Mason. For real.
