Your hollow deception
Insults me and mine
And the source of our creation
pointed
gasping
poignant
belly-rolling
laughter
It's the commonality
Of our temporary humanity
Yours is tinny
The nature of a vast hollow,
Descriptive of a false comedy
Snakes of dust
That undermine and undercut
The words we roar
The worlds we wish for
Laughter is -
A thing so beautiful
A thing so temperamental
L'enfant terible
Whose cause is magical
And essence elemental.
Your suffocating dust
Sparkles under leaden lights
As if in all this unpleasantry
You could turn a heart's cartwheel
Into a thing kin to
A hamster's wheel
As least you're trying real hard to
