TWS #69
                              I burn
my heart on an altar
for you
                              How are you safe
from this heart's combustion?
for want of an anchor,
for want of peace
in the twist of chaos
that devastates
as it creates
                              This burdened gift
holds you
in the balance;
I wish
not to lose you
among cold embers.
                              So we walk
with no answers
and I dance
in the flames,
hungry
to never
let you go
