The lazy pulse of the day
                              Ebbs and flows
Like a river with nowhere to go
In the respite from our obstacle course
                              I want nothing more
                              Than to sit with you
                              And make merry with you
To take in the passage of time
                                        a dancer, heavy and light
                                        resplendent in repetition
                              To watch and breathe deeply
                              Before jumping back once more
                              Into the fray
                              Where the hungry play
                              8/2/14
