Shadow Privileges

I am the shadow, following you wherever you go. I hide behind you agraid of the sun. I walk beside you down dark alleys as a witness to your every action. I can neither create nor destroy anything I see. My only true advantage is no matter what anyone may try, I can never be caught. There shall be no testimony because I cannot speak. I won't ever tell your secrets but I have already heard them all. I carry nothing on my journey but a diary of memories, mental still-pictures if you choose. I don't judge you because I have no emotions. Which I am assured is a good thing because half of the time you forget I'm even here. I rise with you in the morning and sleep warmly beneath you at night, never bothering you. I aid your movement, I give you direction, yet you have never thanked me for a thing. You've never even spoken directly to me, you'd rather talk to yourself. Imagine what I would say if you did, if you could. -tLW-
