Chapter 05

It was decided that the coronation will be held in 2 months. Those 2 months were the last chance for the current King, Queen, and Jack to teach the successors anything there was to know regarding their respective roles. The heaviest task fell onto the Queen, for Akita was close to clueless about any royal certainties. But as the God of Luck always danced upon the Queen, Akita turned out to be a fast learner. He managed to down all of the teachings and information the Queen had bestow with no fault, which in turn making Akita quite happy with himself. He loved gaining new knowledge. He knew he could get used to this new life of his with the way things were. Even if sometimes his mark on his nape felt warm for no apparent reason, all in all it was an enjoyable months.

In contrast, it had been an unbearable two months for Hakata. He learnt that his Queen wasn't from noble families, alas his full schedule of training. Thus, him not being able to meet this young man called Akita. His huge mark across his chest got hot a lot, urging him, forcing him to find his Queen. But he understood he couldn't possibly disturb his Queen in training.

Still, those 2 months duration could be considered short as it was over pretty fast. The coronation day, the event awaited by the people in the kingdom, had come. The day of spectacular opening for years to come. The day of the birth of the new Kingdom of Spades. And finally...

"The day Hakata could finally see his wife."

Hakata snapped out from his daydreaming. "Atsu, shut up."

"Not denying you're dying to see him, huh?" Atsushi smirked.

"You're the best childhood friend I could ever ask."

"Think nothing of it. Now, you need to get to your position. It's starting."

"Until I see you again officially as the Jack of Spades, huh?"

"Until I see you again officially as a married man ruling the kingdom with you oppression."

"Seriously, can I pick another Jack?"

They laughed their last laughter as an ordinary citizen of Spades. For the next day,they would be the one controlling the kingdom themselves.
