Few hours earlier, as the four aces had just finished their debates about their suspicion towards the Kingdom of Hearts, Hakata came out from his hiding spot. Though unpleasing, some enlightenment were finally found.
"So this might be Gotou's plan?"
"There is a possibility to that."
He could feel his wrath coming to surface as he punched the wall near where he stood. The thought of Gotou pulling things from behind annoyed him, but his Akita was more important to think for now.
"What about Akita? Do you have any idea where he is?"
"Wait for a bit." Yasusada closed his eyes and focused his mind. "I can't tell where he is since he's outside the Spades' territory, but I know he's alive somewhere out there. I can still sense his presence, he's safe and sound."
"Thank God," he said, relieved. "Okay, that's enough information for me. Let me know if you find more information. For now I'll just deal with the enemy attacking us and head to the Kingdom of Hearts."
Hakata soon ran outside, preparing himself for battle. Honestly he was a little bit worried leaving Atsushi alone in the battlefield, but he was sure Atsushi was still waiting for him in the front line, being safe and all. His Jack was the best, there was no way for him to go down.
Equipped with complete silver armor and a sword in his hand, he rushed to Atsushi's side, quickly helping his troops to advance. He was glad to see Atsushi still on his horse unscathed, even if his sword wasn't as spotless as he last saw. The Jack grinned at his King, somewhat boasting his capability to lead troops this far.
"Strong as ever, Jack of Spades."
Hearing Hakata's praise, Atsushi smiled and shouted loud to his men.
"The King is here with us in the battlefield! There is no worry for He will show us the path to victory! For the King and for the Kingdom of Spades!!"
Not losing in volume, loud shout of vibrant yell was heard, answering the glorious Jack. The morale was up, there was no way the Spades could lose.
Swords collided with swords, countless arrows with fire flew above both sides to eventually fall towards both the opponent and the houses in their surroundings. Flame might spread but that wouldn't stop Hakata crushing his enemy.
With ease he cut his opponents down with no holding back. Crimson liquid covered his weapon. Bloodstains that was not his own adored his face. Fiery eyes spotting every single ignorant peasants dared to stand up in front of him. One swing was all it took to vanquish any men brave enough to oppose him. He made every single person fathom the fact that exact moment.
That this was the King of Spades. Not someone anyone should mess with.
Hours passed, the enemy kept coming but Hakata calmly took them out almost instantly. Shrieks of pain was everywhere, and the Spades royalties made sure it was from the enemy's side. Who were they kidding trying to fight the strongest kingdom with its King leading himself? They were simply fighting a hopeless battle.
However, just when they were about to give up, they saw changes in the King of Spades. He suddenly went pale, holding his chest as if his heart was about to break out from its cage. Was the odd finally in their favor?
Hakata's other hand gripped hard on his sword. The pain was intense, confusing considering he had no wounds whatsoever. And it appeared too suddenly as well. He then realized it was not his pain. It was someone else's. Is it... that?
"Hakata, look out!" Atsushi yelled out.
Several men approached Hakata as they saw a chance, an opening to charge and put down the King. A little unprepared, Hakata managed to dodge some, but not all. A sword managed to make its way through Hakata's right arm. Blood quickly trickling down.
Atsushi quickly came to his King's rescue, defeating all the men surrounding Hakata.
"What the hell, bud, this is a battle, focus!"
Hakata's voice was dreaded with subtle fear.
"Atsu, I'm experiencing an emergency call..."
Atsushi widened his eyes. He knew exactly what emergency call was. It was originated from the King and Queen's special bond. That bond could tell each of them if there was something wrong with their counterpart, especially when one of them was in grave danger.
The Queen was in grave danger.
"Retreat, Hakata. Find a way to save Akita. I'll handle this battle myself."
Hakata wanted to stay and fight. He felt bad for leaving his childhood friend alone in a battle once more, but he knew his Queen needed his help. He couldn't stop thinking about his Akita.
The King pulled out the sword stabbing his arm with a groan. Sprinting back to the palace with his horse, Hakata prayed for his childhood friend's safety and Akita's life. Soon after, Atsushi shouted one more time in a desperate measure to trigger his every men.
"The King is injured. Are you going to let these imbeciles go without sentence?! Avenge our King!!"
Loud yelling was all he got for answer and it was enough. The Spades would not let the enemy do whatever they wanted. Thus, the war continued to take place in the land of the Spades, leaving the King agitated with his Queen's possible demise.
