You walk through the courtyard sandwiched between beautiful apartment buildings. You step over the slushiness from snow, your grocery bags hitting against your leg.
You look up at the star littered sky and smile. You take in a sharp, cold breath and shiver. You pick your way through the courtyard and then look at the icy pathway that leads to the door of your apartment building.
You wince. "You'd think they'd put some salt on this or something." You mutter, before gingerly stepping on to the ice. You slide a little bit and then steady yourself, your arms outstretched. You let out a soft laugh and smile. "See? Not so ba-" You start to comment to yourself before your foot slips. You let out a scream as you fall on to your back. Your head connects with the ice and covers your world in blackness.-----------------
Lee whistles, his hands stuffed into his pockets, his coat collar pulled up, as he walks into the courtyard of his apartment complex. His whistling trails off when he sees grocery bags and a crumpled figure at the entrance of his apartment, 100 yards away. His eyebrows draw in confusion and he carefully jogs over there. He slides on to the ice and falls to his knees. He crawls over to you, noticing the small scarlet red blood pooling beside your head.
Lee looks over your pale face and then rests the back of his hand against your cheek. He winces at the coldness of your face. "Miss? Miss?" He asks loudly. Lee looks around before slowly scooping you up into his arms. He slowly walks to his apartment building.
-----------------
You slowly shake your pounding head and let out a moan. Your eyes flutter open and then widen. Letting out a gasp, you immediately jump back, a handsome man's face-very close to yours-smiling at you. You push yourself as far away as you can, breathing heavily, looking around.
"Where am I?" You ask, your hand clutching the warm blanket that's laid across you. "Who are you?" You ask the man. He still smiles kindly at you.
"My name is Lee Pace." He answer. Your eyebrows draw.
"The actor?" You ask incredulously. He nods. "I knew you looked familiar." You say, chiding yourself on not recognizing his face.
"I found you laying in the snow outside, a cut on your head." Lee explains. Your hand goes to your head where you finger the bandage. "I picked you up and brought you to my apartment. The cut wasn't too bad, so I was just mainly worried about getting you warmed up. I didn't want you getting hypothermia or something." He answers. You glance at the cup of tea on the coffee table and the mountain of blankets beside you. "T-thank you." You stammer, staring at Lee. He smiles cutely at you again.
"Do you need an ambulance? I wasn't sure about calling them." He says.
You slowly shake your head. "No, no, I'm all right." You answer. Lee grabs a cup and holds it out to you.
"Tea?" He asks. You smile and take it."Thank you." You answer, taking it.
-----------------
After talking with Lee for a while, you find out he lives in the apartment right below yours."Why are you living here out of all places?" You ask. "
"Because it's quiet. The people here are so secluded and don't pay attention to anyone else. I mean, look at you, you didn't even know you lived above an actor for six months." He comments, grinning.
You smile and blush. "Well, gosh, sorry." You laugh softly. Lee stares at you. You peer at him from above the rim of the tea cup. "Thank you for saving me, Lee. People usually are already in their homes by this time of night so I probably would've frozen to death before anyone would've found me." You say, frowning.
"Oh, Y/N, it's no problem. I'm so happy to." He says. You smile. "More tea?" He asks, getting up off the couch.
You nod and hand him the empty cup. "Thank you." You say.
"You're welcome, Y/N." Lee replies, his hand brushing against yours as he grabs the cup. You smile as you watch him disappear into the kitchen.
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
