You wake up with a gasp and then immediately double over, groaning at the intense pain wracking its way across your abdomen.

"Thranduil, I think the baby is coming." You gasp to your husband. He doesn't answer. You look at his side of the bed and find it empty. You groan, but this time it's not from the pain. You remember your husband is at a late night meeting with other Elven kings of Middle Earth.

You stumble out of bed and rip open the door. There's no guards. "Noo." You sigh, shaking your head. You let out a cry from the pain again. Tears burn into your eyes.

You run to the meeting room, occasionally stopping to catch your breath from the pain that steals it.

"Thranduil! The baby is coming!" You scream, as you rip open the doors. Everyone in the room jumps to your feet as you crash to your knees, biting back a scream.

"Y/N!" Thranduil shouts, running over to you. "Somebody get a healer!" He commands.

You look up at him and read the fear in his eyes. "It's going to be all right." You whisper. He nods, though not quite believing it.

---

You scream your heart out, now beyond the point of not caring.

"Is she all right?!" Thranduil practically yells at the healer.

She looks at him exasperatedly. "No offense, my lord, but she's in labor." She states.

"I'm fine, I'm fine." You gasp out to your husband who looks like he's about to pass out.

"Any second now." The healer murmurs. "One last push, Y/N!" She exclaims.

"I can't. It hurts too much." You grit out, shaking your head.

"You can do this, Y/N." Thranduil whispers, smiling at you. You stare at him for a moment and then give a curt nod.

"Push!" The healer commands. You scream and push as hard as you can. A long second goes by until your hear the scream of a newborn child. You cry with relief, breathing heavily.

"It's a boy!" The healer exclaims, setting him in your arms.

Thranduil and you both gasp with wonder. "He's magnificent." Your husband whispers.

You look at him with a twinkle in your tear filled eyes. "Just like his father." You murmur.

Thranduil smiles at you and kisses you soundly on the lips. "You did wonderfully, my love. Thank you." He whispers.

"What do you want to call him?" You ask, turning your eyes back to your son who stares up at you.

"Legolas." Thranduil and you say at the exact same time.

You let out a little laugh. "I guess Legolas it is." You say.

Thranduil kisses Legolas's head. "It's perfect." He says.
