You walk hand in hand with Lee on the busy city streets of Los Angeles. You can't stop looking around for the paparazzi. Lee and you just started to date, which you're perfectly happy with, except for one minor issue. You're younger than Lee, and you're so worried about what people are going to think when they find out.

"Are you okay?" Lee asks, tugging on your hand. You jump out of your thoughts and look at him through your sunglasses.

     Gosh, he's handsome, you think.

     "Y/N?"

You blink. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine." You answer.

Lee stares at you. "Okay, so I know we've only been dating for about four days now, Y/N, but I've known you a lot longer than that. And I know when you're lying." He states. You wince. He raises an eyebrow. "So? Are you going to tell me?" He questions. You sigh.

Lee suddenly pulls you into an empty side street. He presses you against a brick wall and pulls his sunglasses up to his head. He levels you with a stare. You take your sunglasses off, biting your lip.

     "I'm worried, Lee." You admit.

His eyebrows draw. "About what?" He asks.

"About what people will think about us. About our age difference." You explain.

Lee sighs, his shoulders dropping. "I had a feeling it was about this." He murmurs.

"I'm sorry, Lee. I love being with you. I like you a lot. But I'm just scared people with look down on it." You tell him.

"Y/N, there's been worse age differences than ours. If you really think about it in the long run, ours isn't so bad." He says, putting his hands on your shoulders. "Besides, who cares what people think about us? We're the one with feelings for each other. We're the ones that want to pursue a relationship. They don't have a say in it. Even if they think it's weird, we shouldn't care. Weird is the new normal these days, Y/N. There's been weirder things than just two people, who like each other, who's ages are slightly separated." Lee says. You smile at him. "There will always be people who don't like the things we do, but it's our choice if we're going to listen to them or ignore them. And I don't know about you, Y/N, but I'm going to ignore them. I like you too much to give up this relationship just because ignorant people may look down on it."

You sigh and wrap your arms around him. "You're right, Lee. You're absolutely right." You agree.

"So...we're okay then?" He asks worriedly.

You smile and stand on your tiptoes to kiss him. "We're more than okay." You whisper. Lee smiles, wrapping his arms around your waist. He kisses your head and then rests his head on yours, rubbing your back. You close your eyes, no longer worried.
[THE END] I hope you liked it!
