"Two weeks. Its been two weeks since my rape." I told the jury, I was nervous sitting in front of all these people feeling as if they are judging me, wondering if they where thinking it was my fault. I had explained my whole story of what had happened from the first time he hit me to being beat so bad I went the hospital to him raping. "You may step down now amber" i get off the stand and go back to the spot i was before. The lawyers say their finally statments and the jury go to make their desicion. "So do you think he will go to jail?" I ask the lawyer and look over at her. She was a pretty red head with light blue eyes. "Im positive we won the jury believed what happened i saw that look on their face."
About an hour later the jury came back. " has the jury came to a decision?" The judge asks. "Yes we do your honor. We find zach guilty of rape, and human endangerment." I was happy. The man who could have killed me is going to jail. I felt relief that i wont have to worry any more for now. I knew that one day he would get out but by that time I will gone from here.
