8 years later.....

“Nora, hurry up!” She heard Damian whine from outside the door of her house.

“Damian, stop whining you are starting to sound like a girl” She yelled from upstairs while slipping her green shirt and black trouser “Mother, I’m going hunting with Damian. Please tell Mitch” Her mother, who was cooking on the first floor, answered...

“Just be careful okay?” She nodded. Her mother kissed her daughter's forehead after she finishes putting on her last boot. Nora opened the door and saw Damian leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest and a look of boredom on his face.

“Ready?” He asked with annoyance in his voice.

“Yes! Gosh! Did you wake up from wrong side of bed?”

“No, you just take too much time on getting ready” He said while adjusting the quiver on his back. Damian is a nice looking guy with brown hair not to mention his strong muscles on his arms but the intriguing part of him were his deep ocean blue eyes.

“I’m a girl” As she started to speak, Nora saw a group of girls giggling while eyeing Damian. A smirk grew on her mouth and sad “Speaking about girls, look who’s waiting for you” She singed the last part and nudged him. Damian rolls his eyes but at the end he just chuckled.

“They are such airheads” He said with a smirk on his lips.

“I’m glad you realize it” She patted him on the back. As she looked back to the group of girls they were sending her nasty glares, but she just started laughing.

“If looks could kill, i would be seven feet down earth by now” Nora whispered making Damian laugh in exchange. They just keep walking until they reached the forest.

Nora took her bow and placed an arrow loosely on the string and checked if all of her blades and daggers where in place.

She nodded to Damian. They both moved forward and moved as if they were one. Nora moved quietly around, not uttering a single sound. Not even the sound of leaves crunching beneath her feet. Her eyes were alert at any sudden movement that may come around. Finally she spotted her first pray, a squirrel. She stopped dry in her spot and brought the string to her cheek, feeling the soft feather tickling her skin. Nora held her breath and aimed to her target. She let go of the arrow and the only audible sound was the one of the arrow cutting through the air. She hit her target, the arrow striking on the eye of her pray making it a clean shot.

A small whistle escaped her lips, signalling to Damian that she got something. She removed the arrow from the squirrel's eye and putted it inside her game bag. Nora heard Damian whistle in response, he already fetched something.

That’s one of the reasons Nora liked Damian so much. He’s her partner, her friend. They just had this kind of understanding when it came to hunting. He’s Nora's trustworthy companion, she has told him her secrets and he told his to her. He has been Nora's best friend since she was but a little girl. She remembered him being teased for being not so good looking, but with the years had a great effect on him.
