Lola
2 YEARS LATER
Gosh I'm so excited.
I stare at the red convertible in front me. It's not brand new, but it's exactly what I dreamed of riding when I finally left to move to Los Angeles.
I've been playing a minor role in this show It's All About Me for the last two years now. I showed up in over half of the episodes. In order to film I've been going back and forth from Cantua Creek to Los Angeles. I've been staying in hotels with funds provided by the producers of the show. I made sure to spend lots of time with my family and Lexi. I also took myself out of school and I take online classes instead.
My father however, was taking to prison after Elsi finally convinced me to report him. Elsi took full custody of us, it doesn't really matter now that I'm 18 but she's the designated gaurdian of my little brothers. I couldn't think of a better person to take care of my brothers.
Now I'm going to start my road trip to Los Angeles. I got an offer to appear as a character in a new movie. The movie is based on a book trilogy so I got a three-movie contract.
"As soon as were done filming in a couple of months, I'll be able to come back." I tell Elsi asa she helps me put the rest of my luggage in the trunk.
"Don't worry about us." Elsi smiles. "We'll be fine."
I stare at Elsi who was glowing. I look down at her fingers to see a shiny diamond engagement ring on her left hand.
Her boyfriend -Richard- recently propsed to her. This cut my plans of having Elsi and my brothers come live with me in L.A. Elsi wants to stay in Cantua Creek and become a full time Librarian and move in with him and the boys.
"I'm going to miss you so much." I cry, wrapping my arms around Elsi's neck.
"We'll miss you too."
I look at the window of the house to see all my little brothers staring out the windows. They all had their little brown eyes open wide and their foreheads crinkled. It was so hard for me to say goodbye to them.
I smile at Elsi. "Take care of the little monsters."
Elsi smiles back. "I always do, don't I?"
I look down at a silver bracelet on my wrist. The one thing I kept from Angela's old things. I always have it on and Angela's name is carved in cursive on it. I think of her everytime I look at it. Just to make sure I don't forget my best friend; no matter what.
When I finally get into the car and I'm speeding off I smile knowing I still have one stop before leaving my town.

Lexi
I stare down at my blue cap and gown and I look up at my parents. "I graduated." I tell them.
We were standing outside of our school auditorium. I could see all the students in blue cap and gowns celebrating with their families.
My mom has tears in her eyes. My dad has a big smile on his face. Two years ago he sent me to the private school he threatened to send me to. It actually did help me with my schoolwork, and I got accepted to a University because of it. But, fortunately my mom finally convinced him that I should be home for my senior year.
Rick and I stood through our relationship through all that. And I found myself smiling everytime I thought of him, just like when our relationship started.
I can't help but think of Angela sometimes though. Most of the time when I think of her I look down at the locket I kept from her old things. Inside of it is a picture of Lola, Angela, and me as little kids. I had forgotten about this locket. I couldn't believe Angela still had it, but I wear it all the time now.
My parent's and I walk to the parking lot. Just then a red convertible pulls up beside us. I smile at my best friend inside with hair that matches her car color.
"You didn't think I would this did you?" Lola jokes. She gets out of the car and runs over to me. Her arms wrap around me and I hug her back.
"I'm going to miss you like hell." I tell her.
When Lola pulls away she has tears in her eyes. "I'm going to miss you more."
I smirk fighting back my own tears. "Don't get so famous that you forget us little people, okay?"
"That's not possible." Lola kisses me on my forehead and then she's going back into her car and she drives away. I watch her go until she disapears.
Later that day as I sit on my driveway staring at my celebatory graduation ice cream -cookie dough and chocolate chip-, I hear the roaring of a motor.
A motorcycle pulls up next to me on my driveway and the rider takes off his helmet to expose his brown hair and smiling face.
"Hello graduate." He says with a smirk. "Think you're too mature for me yet?"
I smile. "Never." I put my ice cream down on the ground and I'm taking out my pink helmet from the bushes near my house.
I put my helmet on and I climb behind Rick on his motorcycle.
"You sure?" Rick jokes. "You're not in high school anymore."
"Yeah, I know." I tell him. "High School was just the beginning."
