Lexi P.O.V
Lola and I are being dragged away with one arm reaching out to Angela and our other arms holding each other. Nurses were taking us out and I see the doctors doing CPR on Angela and trying to shock her to life.
"No!" I scream with all that's left in me. "Stop! Stop, you're hurting her!"
"Leave Angela alone!" Lola screams. We wail and cry and scream until they finally pull us out.
She's gone. No! She can't be gone! Sweet Angela.
I suddenly I get the memory of when I first met her.
"C'mon Lola!" I shout behind me to see Lola trying to tag me. With her chub (that was starting to slim off) she was one of the slowest girl in the second grade. For me running around the playground was breeze and tag was a serious game to be considered.
Lola huffs and puffs. "I'm going to get you Lexi!" She shouts after me. I laugh hysterically and run faster, suddenly I'm hitting someone. I hit a girl with long black wavy hair and a pale face that was half-covered by her glasses.
She starts crying instantly.
"Oh, I'm sorry! Please don't cry!" I crouch down next her and I help her up. Lola finally catches up.
"What happened to her?" She asks with a curious look on her face. "Why is she crying?"
"She fell on the ground." The girl wipes her eyes and looks down at her arm. Some of her skin was grazed off. Seeing the wound the girl starts crying again.
I scream my teacher's name who immediately comes to the scene. "What happened?" She asks. I tell her what happened and she inspects the cut on the girl's arm.
"Sweetie, what's your name?" My teacher asks.
The girl sniffles. "Angela." She whispers. The teacher turns to me. "Annalexis, Malonda, will you please take Angela to the nurse?"
Lola and I nod and take Angela to the nurse. That night Lola and I invited Angela to a sleepover to apologize for hurting her and we were best friends ever since.
Lola and I sit in the waiting room, holding hands with our eyes closed. Lola sniffs and turns to me.
"I have to go Lexi." She said with her big wet, blotchy eyes staring at me. Tears stream down my eyes.
"No." I whine. "You can't leave me alone." Lola wipes her eyes.
"I have to go pick up my brothers at their daycare because Elsi has work later. But I'll call you, and we'll talk about going somewhere to talk, okay?" Lola says. I suddenly realize how strong Lola is, probably stronger than anyone I ever known. She's been through her mother's death, rape, pain, depression, loss, and so much more. And even at the peak of her hurt she still takes care of her responsibilities.
"Okay." I whisper. Lola gives me one last long hug and is gone.
On my ride home I feel more tired than I ever been in my life. What I see while I'm looking out of the window doesn't help my condition.
I can't say I wasn't expecting this, deep inside I knew. I just covered it up with denial. Seeing Zach and Aurymar kissing each other outside of a Sunny Smoothies. The one where I met Zach. Somehow I can't seem to find myself to care. Instead I just cry some more. Not specifically for Angela, OR HOW sucky my life is. Just in general for all the sick and twisted things that are in the world.

Lola
After picking up my brothers and finally laying down on my bed while they play with their toys, Elsi is walking in.
"I know this isn't a good time," Elsi starts. "but you have an important phone call." I nod and take the cell form Elsi.
"Is this Malonda?" A voice asks me.
"This is she." I say In a groggy voice.
"You took a class on performing, is that correct?"
"Yes."
"Congratulations! One of the best talent scouts in the country have chosen you to be his latest client! You're go to be famous. He'll be booking you many photo shoots and acting opportunities. You're going to be a star, guaranteed!"
The mixed emotions in my mind that are full of hurt are slightly brightened by this good news. This is all I ever dreamed of.
"Oh my gosh, thank you." I say into the phone.
"You'll have you start in small gigs in your local area, but by the time you graduate you'll be off to L.A. Every star he's managed has gotten the big time. You should thank your lucky stars, sweetheart." He adds.
"I am."
After the guy hangs up I look down at my little brothers. As soon as I start making money to support us were going to live the life that they deserve. Because my family deserves more then they have now.

Aurymar
Zach is so hot. So what if he's Lexi's boyfriend? Lexi isn't woman enough for him anyways.
As soon as I met him I knew that this hot guy in front of my was bound to be mine. It was just meant to be, and Lexi is either going to understand or beat it. Trust me I'm not the only one at fault here. I mean Zach swore that I was so much prettier than Lexi and that she was kind of bland and too nice.
Not to mention that Lexi won't even commit to him. I mean what's wrong with this girl? She totally brought this upon herself.
She's a bitch anyways.
