Chapter 7: Kip's Birthday Weekend

Throughout the week Jack and Russell was in and out of my house. More Jack than Russell. Russell only came twice and that was to check up on me while Jack was busy. I really don't know what to do about Russell I feel as if he doesn't like me anymore. I pondered about this as I put my dirty laundry into the washer. I really hate doing laundry but I need to get it done today cause tomorrow is Kip's big birthday bash and I highly doubt I will be sober. Even though I don't like drinking but I'll do it for Kip. Just to show him I can have fun and be loose for his birthday. I just have one problem: I haven't asked Jack if him and Russell want to come. I decided to just go ahead and ask him if he says no oh well I tried. I finished with my laundry and walked into the kitchen.

Jack was sitting on the stool typing on his laptop. I smiled he looked so cute when he was concentrating. I walked over in front of him and stood waiting for him o finish. Once h finished he looked up and grinned. "What can I do for you little lady since I have already done a lot this week," He said confidently. I laughed he really has done a lot around my house this week. Not only has he been watching out for me he fixed my sink in the bathroom, fix a leak on the roof, built a counter for Tuck's food, and helped me paint the guest bathroom. He truly was a good helper. "Well um you know I already have plans this weekend right?" I said trailing off a little. "Yeah it's your friend Kip's birthday," He said. "Yeah well..um...He wanted to know if you wanted to come to," I mumbled. "You want me to go?" He asked stunned. I panicked oh god he doesn;t want to come what do I do! "You know only if you want to and you can bring Rus!" I said hoping to avoid the awkwardness. He laughed and looked down. I frowned great he is laughing at me. "Julie I would love to come!" He said looking up. "You would/ Then why i the world are you laughing!" I squealed throwing water at him. He ducked and kept laughing. I laughed with him not knowing what else to do. "Julie I'm not laughing at you in a mean way it's just you were so nervous and you don't have to be," He said looking at me. "Oh well I just didn't want you to feel awkward or uncomfortable," I said shrugging. "It's fine I'll call Rus and ask him if he would like to join us," He said. "Great oh and you can meet us at that big club down on 7th street you know he one that just opened," I said excited he is coming. 'Yeah I know the one," He said. I smiled and began making supper with a huge stupid smile on my face.

It was the the night. Kip's big night and we were still outside in the freezing cold waiting to go in. We got here in early hoping to be the first to go in ad in luck we were one of the first ten in line. The only problem was there was still 45 minutes till opening. I groaned and looked at Kip. He looked excited and nervous. I looked at his outfit he looked very handsome. Probably hoping to meet his future wife tonight. He had on dark jeans, black graphic tee, white shoes, and a black leather jacket His hair was spiked a little and he looked like one of those college guys you want to hook up with. Massie and Kimberly were behind me in their dresses. Massie parted her hair down the middle and made gorgeous glossy waves on both sides. She had on black strapped heels and a black blinged clutch. Kimberly wore her hair parted towards the right a little with soft curls a the bottom, and goldish sparkly heels. Massie did my hair like her but more curly and framed my face. I keep looking around for Jack and Russell after about 20 minutes I gave up. Disappointed I turned towards the front and watched the people converse in front of me.I know I told him that to wait till we were in the club because of Kim but I just really wanted to see him. I turned around to talk to Massie when I got a glimpse of his perfect body walking up wit Russell to stand a few people behind us. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I looked at Russell but as usual he was playing on his phone. Massie cleared her phone and I looked at her. She wiggled her eyebrows and grinned. I rolled my eyes playfully and turned back to Kip who was flirting it up with two blond chicks in front of us. I laughed under my breathe this is going to be a fun night.

We were in!!! Oh good lord this place is big. Kip lead us to the back booth he rented and we all sat around. His new blond friends sat beside him giggling at him. Not five minutes later a bar man came by and asked us what we wanted to drink. "Whiskey shots for all of us!" Kim shouted giving the waiter the money. He grinned and said of course and walked off. We sat and laughed and talked until the shots came back. "To Kip on his 21st birthday!" We all yelled clinking our shots together. After taking a long swig I stated looking for Jack and Russell. I spotted Russell talking to a dark haired girl in he corner. Turning a little I saw Jack by himself at the bar. Frowning I feel bad I really need to go over there. But I need to stay with Kip. I decided to wait when everybody started getting up to dance which wasn't to long and Kip was being hauled out of the booth by the two girls. Massie laughed and got up going over to a hot guy standing in the corner.
