Chapter 9: Date Night!

The next day I was in a complete haze. All I could think about was the date. The whole way to school I kept asking Jack where he was taking me. He wouldn't he just kept laughing and saying it's a secret. I huffed and decided to ask him what would be the best thing to wear. He said a dress or whatever is fine but no heels and bring a jacket. Well at least I know what to wear.He dropped me off and I skipped over to he tree. "So what has you so giddy today?" Massie asked. "I have a date tonight," I answered. "Oh really Massie cancel our pedis we are going to Jules!" Kim squeaked. I sighed and nodded. I really do need their help getting ready. I told them the details and we agreed on 4 would be the best time for them to come. I text my boss at the library and told her I have a major test tomorrow so I need off early. She usually has no problem being it's just me and a elderly lady that works there. The bell rang and we were off.

"So what were you thinking of wearing?" Massie asked looking in my closet. It was 4:10 and we had 2 hours to g me ready for my date. "I have no idea something cute but warm," I said. Jack had text me and said I need to wear something warm it might be a little chilly. "Okay um let me look in here and see what I can get while you go take a shower," Massie instructed. I nodded and walked off to the bathroom. After taking a long shower and soaking on coconut shampoo and body wash I stepped out and walked to my bedroom. I gasped at the mess they had made. All my clean clothes strung everywhere. "What happened in here/" I said with my mouth hung open. "Oh I needed to get rid of what I didn't like to see what was left," Massie replied. Kim was rummaging through my dresser throwing clothes everywhere. "Kim what are you doing!" I said running over and catching what she was throwing. "Seeing what you have in here," She said. "Guys I love yall but please clean this up I hate having all my clothes thrown everywhere!" I said picking up clothes. "We will once we are done," Massie said. "Ah Ha!!" Kim said thrusting her hand in the air with my black leggings in them. 'These are a must tonight,' She said with a satisfied look on her face. She walked over and sat hem on the bed then looked up at her twin and huffed. "Look sis no offense but I'm the fashionable one you do the hair and make up step aside I will ind her an outfit," Kim said stepping around Mas and looking at my closet. Massie rolled her eyes and went over to my vanity table. I watched as Kim did her thing and looked at every piece of clothing I had left. She stopped at my black blazer and took it out putting it beside the leggings. She then started looking at the piles and her eyes went big all of a sudden. She pounced at the pile next to her and came back up with my lace cover. She then started rummaging wildly like an animal till she found my tan short, puffy at the bottom dress. Kim skipped over with a confident look on her face and dropped both pieces on my bed then turned towards me. "I am a fashion genius!" Kim squealed. I inspected the outfit and saw that it was actually cute. I smiled and Kim beamed at me. Massie walked over and inspected to with a smiled and nodded. "It's perfect," She said. Kim held a smug look on her face as she skipped over and started looking at my shoes. "Okay let's get you dressed then I'll do your hair and makeup," Massie said. I did as I was told grabbing my black lace panties and strapless bra. After getting the entire outfit on I walked over and put my robe on so nothing would get on it. Massie lead me to the vanity and started her work.

What felt like an hour later Massie was done and said look. I opened my eyes and I gasped. Massie had curled the bottom parts of my hair and put it up in a elegant up-do. Then she put bold red lipstick on me and made dramatic cat eye liner on my eyes with dark eyeshadow. I looked like a modern day Snow White. 'You look very pretty Jules!' Massie said clapping her hands. I smiled and stood taking my robe off. Kimberly came over with my red ballet flats and sat them down. I slide my feet in them and looked in the mirror. I actually looked very pretty. The red flats and lips made a pop of color and the lace was romantic and sexy. "Thanks you guys!" I squealed and then whirled around embracing them both in a hug. They laughed then we all ventured downstairs and waited for Jack to arrive.

20 minutes later the doorbell rang. Kim and Massie squealed and gently ushered me to the door. After grabbing my clutch I opened the door to a breathtaking Jack.He had on tan pants with a light blue button down and a dark blue blazer. He gasped when he looked up at me. I blushed and smiled down at the floor. "You look.....stunning....breathtaking...I can't find the words," He said taking a deep breath. "Thank you you don't look to bad yourself," I said. He smiled then Massie pulled the door away SO she could see. "Hey Jack you look great anyways have her back by 10:30 or else mister," Massie instructed. I scowled and her and she laughed. "Yes ma'm I will have her back at 10:30 not a minute later," He said holding his arm out to me. I shook my head and wrapped my hand around his arm. As he lead me across the street I turned and waved at the girls. They giggled and waved back. Jack opened the car door for me and I hopped in. As I buckled up he hopped in and turned the car on. "So my beautiful date you ready for the best night of your life?" He asked. I nodded and he drove off. He reached over and gently pried my hands open interlocking fingers together. I smiled and turned my head and watched the city's lights all a glow.

After an hour of driving Jack pulled off onto a gravel driveway. I looked around realizing we were outside the city and in the next town. The driveway was lined with huge oak trees with branches dusted with snow. As i look up ahead I saw a building coming into view. The closer we got I soon realized it was a huge stone mansion or more like castle. Like one in fairy tale books.

It had three large columns in the front with a fountain in the driveway that came in a full circle. There was no other vehicles I could see but Jack pulled right up to the stairs. Turning the car off he hopped out and came around to my door. Opening it he helped me down and held his arm for me to take. I smiled and took it. The place was massive with snow dusting it lightly. Jack lead me to the door and knocked. A elderly man with silver hair appeared behind the door and smiled. "Oh Mister Jack please come in we have everything ready," The man said. "Thank you Jameson," Jack said handing him his jacket and mine. "This must be Miss Julie the one you were talking about, I'm Jameson the head butler here at the estate," He said taking my hand and shaking it. " She is very lovely Jack," He said then turning to leave. Jack blushed and lead me as we followed the man through the foyer to a hall. The house was like gold and glitter. Beautiful and well decorated.

I looked around in awe as we made our way through the hall and into the dining area. It had a small round table with two chairs, white tablecloth, two candles and plates sitting on it. Jack lead me to a seat and pulled he chair out for me. I sat and he pushed me in. Once Jack sat another man younger than the first but not by much came in with glass of champagne. He poured some in both our glasses and sat it in a ice been. "Dinner will be served in 5 minutes," He said then walking off. Jack lifted his glass to me and I did the same clinging them together and taking a sip. "Wow this is an amazing place Jack," I said. "I thought you would like it," he said. "So whose house is this or do you know?" I asked.  Jack's face fell and he ook another sip from his glass. I did the same thinking he wasn't going to answer me. "This mansion is my sister's and her family," He said looking out the glass windows. I sighed, "You never told me you had a sister Jack". "I know I usually don't tell people I do," He said. "I can probably guess why and it's not that you don't like each other," I said. "No I love my sister and her family I just don't tell people because I don't want to put her in danger," He said playing with his napkin. I leaned over and laid my hand on his. "Jack I understand why you don't talk about her so I'm not going to push you into telling me," I said. He looked over at me and smiled. "I know but I want to tell you about her,'" He said leaning back over to me. "Okay go ahead," I said. "Well her name is Eva, she is three years older than me, she is married to Luke who is a huge producer in watermelon business, and they have my two nieces Annabelle and Isabelle," Jack said describing her.

We talked about her and their childhood throughout the meal once it was served. I found out that their parents died in a plane accident 8 years ago. Leaving them to live with their grandfather. He died two years later. Eva and Jack took care of each other but he couldn't live in her house knowing the danger so he moved out. This was when the twins were about 4 months old now they are 5. We talked and laughed until a few people began shuffling in with a violin and one went to the piano. They both began playing and I looked over at Jack who had stood up and had his hand held out to me. I took it and we danced for a long time. Then it was time t go we thanked everyone and made our way outside. It had started to lightly snow as we were leaving. "Julie can I ask you something?" Jack asked. I nodded and he said, "Julie I have never felt this way about anybody in my entire life but will you be mine?" He said looking over at me. I leaned over and kissed his lips lightly. "I'm already yours," I said.
