Chapter 12: This is How it Ends

The taxi cab pulled over nex tot a gas sation. I gatehred my things and paid the man. i quickly went to the old pay phone and put the quarters in. It rang a few times before someone picked up. "Julie?" I heard Russell say. "Yes it's me," I said. "Oh Julie thank you um where are you?" He asked. "I am at that gas station out on highway 12," I said. "Oh okay I'll come pick you up there then," He said. "Fine I will be inside and be quick about it,' I said. "Alright i won't take me but 5 minutes to get there,' he said. We said good bye and I strolled inside out of the cold. It was a small gas station but it had two booths to sit in. I slid into one and waited for Russell. Soon a big black car pulled in and I panicked a second thinking that Jack had followed me. But I was wrong Russell came out of the car and walked in. He spotted me and came and sat opposite of me. "Okay I have to call Evan and tell him I have you then we can make a meet up place," He said. I nodded not really having the energy to say anything. He pulled his phone out and dialed a number. He put the phone up to his ear when he said, "Evan I have her". "Yes she is right here you want to hear her," He said looking at me. He handed the phone to me and put it to my ear. "Hello Evan," I said. "Hello darling finally decided to join me?" He asked. "Yes but before I do that I want you to know that if you play any games with Russell and I, well you will see what will happen," I threatened. "Oh really, fine then princess I promise you when Russell brings me you I will bring his mom and little brother, and I won't play games with them," He said. "Fine here is Russell back," i said handing the phone back to Russell.

Russell continued talking to him saying some okay's and uh huh's here and there. He clicked his phone off and looked at me. "We will meet them at the docks in one hour," He said. I nodded. "Thank you Julie you have no idea what this means and I promise I will help get you out off there," He said. "No need Russell I made sure Jack won't miss me or want me anymore," I said. " You lied to him didn't you?" He asked. I nodded. I told him about what I said without mentioning the letter. "Alright Julie we need to get going," Russell said. I looked up at him and nodded. He knew what was going on in my head. I huess that's why he is staying quite.

We rode for a couple hours in complete silence. But I needed to know somethings befor we made this deal. "Russell I need to know that you are going to protect Kim and the baby," I said. He sighed and turned the radio down. "Julie I will do everything in my power to keep Kim and the baby safe," He said. "Russell that's not enough, I need you t go back repair the damage you have done to Jack, and then take all of them with you to Italy please," I said. He looked over at me shocked. I reached inside my purse and handed him two one way tickets to Italy. I knew once my sister and Jack saw these they would know what I wanted. "But Julie then I won't be able to help you," He said. "I know, but please this is the only way I will know everyone is safe, if they were in a different country away from Evan," I said. He took my hand and I looked at him. His eyes were full of understanding. "I promise Julie I will take them as far away as I can," He said. I nodded glad he understood. I turned my head back to th window. Now I know everyone will safe from harm. Italy is the perfect place for them. They can be all ogether in one place.

We stopped in the parking lot otside of the city docks. It was cold and foggy. Everything eerie and dark. I let Russell lead me lead me fro he car through he gates and down through the pathway. We stopped in front of a storage building. It was labeled Dock 35. Russell checked his phone and looked at me. "Are you ready for this?" He asked. "No but I have to do this," I said. "Alright he's already here so here we go," Russell said as he opened the door. It was dark Russell let me through first closing the door. I stopped letting Russell come beside me. "Evan where are you?" He yelled. All of a sudden the lights came on and we were surrounded. There were about 15 of Evan's goons circled around us. In the enter naturally was Evan and two people with bags over heir heads sitting in chairs. Evan had his hands on both of them. Russell lunged a little but I put my hand on his arm. "Evan let me see them!" Russell cried out. "Fine fine Bruce uncover them please," Evan instructed one of the goons. He snatched the bags off both of them. What I saw was gruesome.
