Sans trudged through the snow and up to Grillby's. He could really use the warmth and comfort that the place usually gave him. He opened the door and was immediately filled with happiness. He walked to his usual stool with a smile on his face.
"Hey, hot stuff!" he yelled to Grillby, who turned towards him with an annoyed look on his face.
"Yes, Sans?" the bartender responded.
"Can I get the usual?" Sans asked.
"Can you pay your damn tab?" Grillby said, placing a bottle of ketchup in front of the skeleton, who immediately started chugging it.
"Ya see, I forgot my money at home, but I'll bring it by later." Sans explained while wiping his face with his sleeve.
"You always say that, Sans."
"Maybe this time I actually will."
"I doubt it." Grillby adjusted his glasses and went to walk away, before turning back to his friend and saying, "Hey Sans, do you think you could stay after hours? I need to tell you something."
Sans blushed, thinking maybe his dream might come true. He had always had a crush on Grillby, he just couldn't bring himself to telling the guy that. All he had to do was wait until after hours to see what the bartender wanted with him.*Le time skip, brought to you by Grillby's ass*
Sans was still in his stool, but other than him and Grillby, the place was empty. The fire monster flipped the sign out front so that it said 'closed' before turning to Sans.
"So, uh, Grillby. What was it that you wanted to say?" Sans asked, slightly nervous. Grillby stayed silent, but slowly approached the skeleton until their faces were close.
"Grillby- I- um-" Sans stuttered. Grillby brought his hand up to the shorter monster's cheek, and leaned in even closer. It got to the point where they almost kissed, before Grillby moved his head to the right and whispered to Sans, "Pay your fucking tab."
