I got into Lucas's car and we drove back to my home town of River Dale, Missouri. On the way there he grabbed my hand and started holding it tight. I was so glad to be with him I didn't notice where we were...my house. With only 5 days left until my birthday. I kissed Lucas goodbye before I got out of the car. When I got inside of my house my mother was talking to the clan so she didn't notice me walk in. When she finally did she started to yell. "Why!?" She yelled. "Why did you run? Did you think we wouldn't catch you? And do you realize that six of my best friends died because of you!?" " I'm sorry mom, I realize my mistake, that's why I'm back. I'm done running." I replied. And just like that my mother softened her facial expression and gave me a hug. "I'm sorry. I just missed you so much!" She said. After our talk she sent all of our clan home. "Well now that you're home let's talk about your birthday." My mother said excitedly. I told her that I was way too tired and that I wanted to get some sleep. I went to my room and listened to music until I finally fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of rocks being thrown at my window. I glanced at my clock...3:30 a.m, right on schedule. I opened my window and jumped down to Lucas. "You ready?" He asked. "Oh yeah." I replied. And for the first time in forever, I really was ready.
