"Darling! Come out I want to see you in your gown!" My mothers voice boomed through the house. It's time for the ceremony. Heart beating fast, I walk down stairs wearing the black ball gown my mother made me. "Oh my darling Thalia! Don't you look lovely!" My mother cried. I replied with a wicked smile on my face. "I'm ready to become just like you mother." She smiled back. "Good," she said. The ceremony took place on the basement. It was dark and the only light was the light of the moon shining in from the window. "Let the ceremony begin!" My mother yelled. First they all lit candles. Then they started chanting in another language. A spell I'm guessing. All of a sudden my teeth became sharper. I had the urge to chop off someone's head and eat it. There's a tarp on the floor with someone underneath it. My first boy. My first real meal, as my mother would say. I don't want to do this! Why am I doing this! Stop! Stop! The tarp is removed...the face I see is familiar...Lucas no. No! "No I told you not him!" "I know what you said. I didn't listen. I don't have to listen to you! Haha. You will eat him or we will kill you. Choose wisely child." My mother said in a wickedly evil voice. "I would rather die than kill the one I love!" I screamed. My mother lunged at Lucas and snapped his neck. "I never said you had to kill him. I said you had to eat him! Hahahaha!!!"
I woke up crying. Screaming. It was just a dream...it was just a dream. Relief washed over me. Lucas is alive. I'm not evil. I'm still me. And if I have any say in what happens tomorrow night, that nightmare will never come true! I swear it! My mother will not win! She won't win! I soon drifted back to sleep.
    "You will never beat me!"
Those were the last words my mother said to me in the dream. Finally I woke up. Shaking. Crying. "Sweet heart! It's time! You have an hour to get ready! Don't doddle!" Yelled my mother. "Trust me I won't" I started to pack and then I jumped out the window where Lucas and his car were waiting for me. "Ready?" He asked. "Let's do this." I replied.
