On the way to the town we are headed to (Lucas still won't tell me where we're going) I made the mistake of falling asleep.
"Thalia, Thalia, Thalia. Why did you run away from me again? Don't you love me? Come home dear! Come home! I miss you." My mothers voice rang in my ears. "No I will not come home mother! You can't make me! You never loved me! You never will! I hate you! Why can't you except me for the way that I am?!" I screamed back at her. I was tired. I was angry. She's haunting my dreams now! "Hahahahaha! Foolish little girl! The way you are is not the way you should be. Like it or not you are a siren! Not! A human." "But I don't want to be a siren mother!" I cried. I can't escape. Why did I ever think that I could. She follows me everywhere I go. I can see my mothers face angry and red. I can't go back. I just can't. "Thalia, Thalia!? Where are you!?" "Lucas? Is that you?" I hear Lucas but I can't see him. This dream has gone way to far! "Thalia! They have me! Save me! You can still save me!" I heard him scream. No, no! She won. She found her way into my dreams and she won. This is what will happen if I stay on the path that I am traveling. It is now clear to me what I must do.
I woke up screaming. The car swerved a little. "Thalia!? What's wrong what happened?" Lucas yelled. "She's coming for us." Is all I could say in return.
