It took five minutes to find my first class, not so bad for my first day with no help. I knock on the door and then a young looking lady (probably in her mid 20's) with dark brown eyes and brunette hair opened the door.

"Can I help you?", the lady asked .

I tried to sound as confident as I could, "Hi, I'm Andrea Bowers and I was told to come here for my first class, I'm new here."

"Ah yes! Mind. my manners, welcome to chemistry Andrea! Do come in."

When I walked in, there were about 20 faces staring at me. I felt so intimidated. I was introduced to the class by the lady who is my supposed teacher in probably the most awkward way possible.

"Class, this is Andrea Bowers and she will be joining us for chemistry from now on. She is new to the school so she probably isn't familiar with the way we do things around here. Now where can you sit? Hmm. Aha! You can sit next to Mason. Mason put up your hand so she can see you!"

A dark haired boy raised his hand up so I could see him. He looked so cute. I gulped and made my way to the seat next to the the cute boy. When I was seated I couldn't take my eyes of him. He was wearing a white t-shirt like me but a V neck, black jeans and a pair of black nike trainers.

He looked so engrossed in what the teacher was saying, well that is until he caught me staring at him. Shit. What do I say? Oh sorry I was staring at you because you look really cute? I think I'll just let him take this one..

"Are you staring at me?" The boy laughed, showing off his cute dimples.

"Oh no er I was just um..nope I've got nothing, sorry," I stammered.

He laughed again "I'm Mason, you must be Andrea?"

He held out his hand to shake mind so I returned the kind gesture and shook his hand.

"Yeah but I prefer Andee."

''Alright, Andee. So how's your day been so far?''

''It's been good," I lied. It's been so stressful but I guess he doesn't need to know that.

He laughed for the 3rd time. He seems to be laughing at me a lot. Am I that funny?

"You give me such short answers', he laughs. 'You're not so good at this small talk thing are you?"

I feel my face flush and I think he can see how uncomfortable I am.

"Hey," he says concernly taking my hand into his. "Sorry, I'm only joking."

I give him a weak smile and a nod. He unclasped his hand from mine and smiled back at me.

"Say, why don't I show you around after 4th period?", Mason asked.

I hesitated. Should I trust him?

"Oh what's the worst that could happen," my subconscious reminds me. She's right. Besides, it could be for the best.

"I...RIIIIING!" Ah saved by the bell. I started to pack my things into my bag and I was just about heading out of the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

:I didn't hear a no so I'm taking that as a yes?" Mason said. It came out more like a question than a statement. Like he was waiting for my approval.

"Okay Mason," I smiled.

Mason pretty much took me around the whole school. Inside and outside. Up and down. Left and right. Everywhere.

"And finally this is the cafeteria. This is where we sit down and eat food if you didn't already know," he said sarcastically. I laughed. I'm not going to lie, I am having a pretty good time.

''Should we get food, I'm starving'', the cute boy laughed. Suddenly I heard a loud rumbling noise...OH MY GOD IT WAS MY STOMACH. I literally wanted the ground to swallow me up right now. How embarrassing!

I didn't even dare to look at Mason. I can only imagine what kind of horrified expression he's wearing on his face right now. I shut my eyes wishing I could dissappear but whilst closing my eyes I heard bursts of...laughter?

I opened my eyes and looked up. It was Mason and he didn't look the slightest bit disgusted. Instead he was in fits of laughter struggling to breathe.

"I'll take that as a yes then," he continued to laugh.

I don't know why but after he made that comment , I began to relax and felt less embarrassed.

There was something about this guy. I felt almost...comfortable around him. I didn't know guys could be so nice to girls. Well nice enough to show them around an entire school that is.

"Woah stop right there," my conscious reminds me. Yep I've taken this simple act of kindness way too far.

I mean I barely even know him yet.
