A bitter gust of wind burns the flesh of the inside of your nose as you head towards the entrance of the Incheon International Airport. Even after persisting through the forceful winter wind to reach the safe and warm comfort of the airport, mother nature wins her battle leaving you frozen and frail.

Embarrassed and numb from the cold, you hide behind the airport's cemented column to make sure that Suzy drives away without seeing you in a state of such helplessness.

Unable to hold up your own weight anymore, your legs give in and in a matter of seconds, you drop onto the cement floor, curling up into a ball, protecting your face from the cold. Hot tears rush down your dry and reddened cheeks causing them to burn a little due to the differences in temperatures.

Once more, you regret ever coming here in the first place, ever meeting him, ever losing him. Regret and guilt had eaten through your stomach and was now creeping up your throat towards your brain.

Even as a child, you were already hiding the negative feelings that seemed to eat you alive, but that was how you lived because if you ever let it escape, people, friends, and even family were ready to judge you with no sympathy given. Therefore, even if you were dying behind your smile, you would eventually get used to it and forget the pain for a moment.

He was different. His presence in your life healed your pain bit by bit, but now that you had decided to eliminate him from the equation, poison had intoxicated your system and it seemed like you couldn't forget the torment even for just a short moment.

Lifting your face from the protection of your legs, the stained tears immediately turned frigid against the burning flesh upon your face. Now you just needed to breathe. You just had to learn to breathe like every other women in the world who had to sacrifice their love for an unmentionable reason. With one last hiccup from your sob, you pull yourself together for hopefully the very last time and wipe away your stained cheeks. Straightening your jacket, you stand up and pull your luggage behind you as you defeat mother nature this time and enter the airport.

---------- One hour later

We have arrived at Gimhae International Airport. Passengers may unbuckle your seatbelt and exit the plane at this time. Thank you for boarding the Korean Airlines. If you have any questions, a flight attendant will be at the exit of the plane to assist you. Once again, thank you for choosing Korean Airlines.

Busan. Clean and crisp air. Busy city. Lovely scenery. A great place to forget your past. A great place to dwell on your past.

Like any other place in the world, nothing will be able to help you overcome your inner struggle besides yourself.

Let's think of it as a new start. The only other person you knew here was Dr. Hoseok and you were somewhat glad it was him. He was the type to always be cheerful and upbeat. That's what you needed in your life right now, so you thought. Someone to help you forget your inner struggles for now. Someone to help you push those thoughts far below the surface where it had the power to destroy you.

For now it seemed so selfish of you to use him like he was someone whose only purpose was to heal your wounds, but he was a friend. You thought of him as a friend and if he was willing to continue in this friendship then he needed to understand that you needed his help right now. If he was someone you could trust, then he needed to know that you only had him left in this foreign land. A place you almost viewed as home.

Soon, a van stopped at the car loop of the airport and drove you and the 4 other interns towards Busanjin-gu district where Inje University of Paik Busan Hospital was located. This was where your new beginning would emerge from.
