Liam picked me up and sat me on the motorcycle. He drove down to the general store. I followed him in to the cramped store.
"So why did I have to take you out in the first place?" He asked looking through the chips.
"To get away from the motel for a bit."
"The people in the motel, or the motel?" He asked looking up at me.
I sighed, "The people."
"Is it Harry?" He asked going to the next isle.
I slowly walked after him, carelessly.
"Ya."
It was silent for awhile.
I turned, Liam wasn't there, I spun around, I couldn't find him.
I walked down an isle, "Liam?"
He jumped out behind me, I jumped and playfully hit him.
He was only inches away from me, he took in a breath. I looked away, it was too soon for me to feel like this.
He walked back to the previous isle and studied the food. I stood where I was and bit the inside of my lip. Maybe I needed someone to make me feel like this, to help me.
I ducked down and crawled behind the racks, I jumped up and scared him. I saw the light glow back into his eyes. We both laughed and walked out of the store.
"Do you want to drive?" He asked.
"Me?" I asked surprised.
"Who else is there?" He laughed.
"I'll help you." He said more serious.
"Okay." I said unsure.
I climbed on the motorcycle, I gripped the handles like my life depended on it, it kind of did.
He put his hands over mine , to help me.
"Is this okay?" He asked close to my ear.
I nodded and took a deep breath.
"Okay slowly pull the handle." He said carefully.
I slowly pulled it forward and we began edging toward the road.
"Okay a little faster now."
I pulled it closer, we went faster. I smiled, it was fun feeling the wind fly past you.
He shifted his hands so they were engulfing mine. It was nice, I felt safe, and happy.
"Okay turn right up here."
I slowly turned into the motels parking lot.
"Okay release the throttle."
I let it go and we stopped.
"Good job!" He said helping me off.
"Thanks, but you helped me." I said smiling.
"Ya but you did most of it." He said holding the door open for me.
