For the following two weeks after when we met, Aphmau and I had been meeting to discuss plans for the performance. I must admit, she was very talented when it came to writing new music and I knew with her I would learn a lot.

"I was thinking here, maybe we could sing some sort of harmonization. You know, 'You've been runnin', runnin', runnin', oh~'," she did motions with her hands to describe what she was thinking.

"That actually sounds great," I commented. We continued scheming, each of us coming up with brilliant ideas, practicing the vocals, and practicing with Aphmau on the piano and myself on the guitar. We wrote over half of the song so far, leaving the next two and a half weeks for finishing and getting the music together.

"So, tell me more about yourself," Aphmau said, flipping through the channels on the television, then settling on some sort of singing competition.

"Honestly, I've already told you almost everything about me," I replied, leaning back in my seat.

"I mean like... when did you start singing, playing instruments, and so on."

"Well... I have been singing ever since I was a small lad, singing nursery rhymes and such. I first showed off my singing in school when I participated in the talent show. Ever since I've graduated, I've been trying to pursue a career in music even more."

"I'm surprised you weren't signed earlier. Your voice is pretty dang good."

"Thanks," I muttered, "When did you start?"

"When I was eleven, I auditioned for a musical in my hometown. I received guitar lessons when I was twelve, and piano when I was fourteen. Since then, I've performed for multiple audiences and have come out with a couple albums."

"I find it to no surprise that you've done so well with your career. I only hope I can be just as successful," I mumbled the last part, lowering my volume so that one could barely hear it.

"Believe me, you will be," she placed her hand gingerly on my arm. I flinched slightly, but moved my arm so it was resting on the couch behind her.

"What was your hometown like?" I asked suddenly.

"Oh, Phoenix Drop? It's a very rural, quiet town. Everyone seems to know each other and get along. My father was the mayor there. Three years ago, Levin, my youngest son, was left at my doorstep. My father wanted to send him to the nearest orphanage, but I couldn't bear doing that. So I took him in. How about O'Khasis? Is it as mysterious as all the tales I've heard?"

"Mysterious? I wouldn't really call it that. More so solemn. Everyone in O'Khasis is dignified and formal. I came to Scaleswind as soon as I could just to get away from the formalities that O'Khasis possessed."

"Makes sense," she shrugged, then quietly started to hum along to the tune coming from the show on the television.
