Chapter Five

Poe Dameron watched as Rey entered the torture room he was in. He swallowed and she smiled at him and laughed. "I feel like you're a prize. Why collect resistance trash when you can collect their best assets."

She circled him.

"You're one creepy broad, you know that?" asked Poe.

"Good. I'm giving off the correct message. Where are those plans Mr Dameron?"

"Not going to tell you."

"You've resisted your torture. I'm impressed. I wanted to work on you from the beginning but I'm not allowed. I'm only needed in an emergency capacity. I'm here now. Leave us." She said the last line to the stormtroopers at the door. It was just her and Poe now.

"I know you've hidden the plans in a BB8 droid. And believe me I'd have killed you by now if you being alive doesn't suit my needs. I'm going to have you escorted to a cell."

"I don't understand..." Poe begins.

"You don't need to understand. You just need to play the game." Rey mused and left.

A stormtrooper came to escort Poe after that, dragging him out roughly and down a corridor, before leading him into a room no one was in.

"I can get you out." he said and took off his helmet.

Poe blinked. The guy was hot.

In the morning Alistair woke up early to pack his bags. He could hear a droid speaking suddenly, coming from outside. He got off of the sofa he had been sleeping on to let Mara sleep in his room. He ran out and saw a droid hastily beeping as it ran away from what looked like a scavenger.

It made its way up to him and began to beep aggressively.

"I don't speak droid. I'm sorry. Can you speak basic?"

"It's alright BB8." Mara's voice said. "This is Poe Dameron's droid...one of a kind but... where is Dameron?"

BB8 beeped at Mara.

"He's been captured?"

BB8 beeped even more.

"That's a good droid, you keep those plans safe. And these..." Mara took the plans for the training centre and gave them to BB8. BB8 beeped again. Mara laughed. "I know. But you're a trustworthy droid."

"Who's Poe Dameron?" asked Alistair.

"The best pilot in the resistance."

"I'm the best medical doctor in the resistance and I don't get a title."

"That's because you gave it to yourself." Mara responded.

Out of nowhere suddenly an imperial fighter plane crashed landed.

BB8 beeped.

"I know BB8. Stay here with the doctor. We can't lose him since he's the best doctor in the resistance."

BB8 beeped after Mara who made her way to the crashed jet.

A man with a stormtrooper uniform emerged from the crash site. He wasn't wearing a helmet and so Mara could he see he was a dark skinned human.

BB8 lost it suddenly at who emerged next. His master. Poe! BB8 ignored Mara's instruction and ran after them.

"It's my droid. Finn look it's my droid."

"Wow... are you a jedi?" the dark skinned man asked.

"This is Master Jade. Of the Jedi Order. This is Finn. He's a stormtrooper that saved me. He doesn't want to be one anymore."

"I believe my ship is refueled by now. Let's get back to the resistance base." Mara nodded moving away from the crash site.

Everyone boarded Mara's ship after, she quickly took control of the pilot's seat and Poe sat in the co-pilots chair.

"I know my place." he uttered when Mara smirked at him.

BB8 beeped something at them.

"Don't worry BB8. I'm sure Poe will be able to handle his way on this ship."

"Mara why is there no supplies in your medical bay?" asked Alistair, who fell as Mara began to take off. "It's fine I'm not damaged."

BB8 made a comment and Poe and Mara snorted.

"Don't worry I don't know what they're on about either." Finn said to Alistair. He nodded.

Mara made the ship take off, and they used light speed. Mara didn't need the beeps, alarms, and sirens to tell her that something was wrong.

"Damn it I think something is wrong with this. You know if Luke spent a little time doing the things I asked him on this ship, I'd probably not need to worry about this."

"Worry about what?" Finn asked.

"I don't know I've just got a feeling. When I get a feeling it's bad." Mara said. There's a First Order cruiser not that far away from Jakku. "We'll make a trip to the nearest planet and I'll take a look there. "

"You just can't get the husbands to do things for you anymore. They all want to be grand masters of the jedi order." Poe commented.

Mara stood up. "We'll take a trip to Takodana. It's close by and it's sort of trusted ground. Smugglers there that might be able to help me get this up and running. We'll at least get a message to the resistance."

"I promised Leia I wouldn't fail her. That's after I accidentally called her mum." Poe uttered.

"Poe. I'm sure Leia didn't mind." Mara replied.
