Chapter Eight

"Of all the people I have to patch up and it's a goddamned homicidal wookie." Alistair muttered to himself. Chewbacca wasn't pleased with his remarked and grumped at him.

"Quiet." scolded Alistair.

"You know for a doctor you have a poor bedside manner." Amethyst uttered. "Here. Let me help Chewey." She pushed him aside gently.

"This a man's job. He's a big scary."

"Hi Chewey. I heard about how brave you were." Amethyst said as she X-Rayed his shoulder. Alistair rolled his eyes and went to see another patient. "He's such a grump isn't he?" Amethyst joked with Chewey.

After a while, Leia called for his presence and he found her talking abotu the base. "You wanted to see me. What was it about?"

Amethyst had followed behind him with Chewbacca.

"I think... I think the girl..."

"Rey. Her name is Rey." Ben said.

"I think this Rey... she's... up to something. She let me escape with the plans to the jedi temple. It was like... she wanted them to fail."

"She gave that impression with me too." Poe said. "She has an agenda."

"Could there be light in her?" Ben asked.

"Or maybe she just has no loyalty to her people." Finn said. "Sith are like that."

"I've heard stories about people who don't side with one force." Amethyst spoke quietly. People turned to face her. "True she may not be with the sith fully, and doesn't help the light, maybe she's neutral?"

"Impossible" a few said

"what do you know you're just a girl, a non force sensitive girl" a angry looking creature spoke

"I know more than you do" she defended her statement. Ben stood next to her, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I'll don't care about the broad. We're blowing that base up." Poe said.

"Before they get the weapon working. It can destroy planets... it's worse than what the death star can do." Finn said.

"Let's talk out a plan."

Hux walked with Rey back to Mara's holding chamber. Rey let out a gasp of surprisement. "Oh no! She's not here!"

"You locked a jedi up without putting her in a force cage. I'm not surprised."

"Why don't you worry about your weapon instead of worrying about me. Thank you." Rey responded.

"You know I'd do anything for you." Hux told her. "But you have to talk to me more. You alway seems like you have another plan that you're not telling anyone."

"Hux. I don't care." Rey replied.

"Be careful with those kid. Those are explosives." Han said to Finn who was tossing them into a bag.

"Oh what?" Finn asked.

Ben sighed and parted from his father and Finn to speak to Amethyst. "I'm sorry I'm leaving you." He took her hands gently.

"You're going to do what's right. I'm so proud of you." Amethyst said to him.

"I promise to come back"

"You better" Amethyst smiled and kissed him "now go. Your father is waiting" he nodded and left her side.
