Force from the Other Side

Chapter Six

Ben was teaching some students at the centre when he saw Amethyst, trying to get his attention. He smiled and told his students to keep on practicing while he went away. he approached her.

"Yes my love?"

"I have to tell you something." Amethyst said.

"What?"

"It's Mara, her ship is damaged. She had a rant about Luke not doing something properly. Anyway your mother wants you to accompany your father and Chewey to where she landed."

"Ok" he nodded, turning back, he told his students that was all for the day. He kissed his wife before leaving to board the Falcon to meet with his father.

"Why is the weapon not working?" Hux asked. He'd just made a grand speech to his men and women about destroying the republic with it. It wasn't working. That was all he needed failure twice that day.

"Perhaps you should get some technicians." Rey commented sarcastically. "I shall be informing my master of your problem. Your failure. Twice today."

"Perhaps if you were as powerful as you have everyone believe my dear Rey. You wouldn't have failed us."

Rey smiled at Hux. "Oh darling. I do not know how powerful you think I am but your perceptions of me not meeting the reality will not be apologised for." Rey turned around and left him to explain to his people why he'd failed.

The resistance would not be slowed, so the republic should not be destroyed either.

Logic.

Snoke would not win.

The First Order would not win.

Only one would win. Rey would win.

It took them a while to get to their destination. The Falcon spotted Mara's ship first, since they got there just a little after and they landed together.

"Aunt Mara!" Ben yelled as he got off of the ship to greet her. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm not hurt so much as I am annoyed at the ship."

"Chewey will take a look at it." Han said to Mara. "Once he's done looking at her." Han gestured with his head to the Falcon.

Ben blinked when he saw that the newest face of the group was wearing Poe's jacket. "Is that not your jacket Dameron?" asked Ben smiling at the blushing male.

"It suits him don't you think?" Poe asked rubbing the back of his head.

Finn smirked a little but got a little blushy. Mara walked into the building, Han, and the rest of the gang except Chewey followed.

"HAN SOLO!" Everyone stopped and turned towards the group

"Maz!" He replied

A small lizard type woman walked over to them. "How's my boyfriend?"

"Fine. He's currently working on the ship."

She brought them all to sit down. They didn't realise that someone had noticed the presence of a BB8 droid.

Rey was on her way to Takodana. Even though she needed the First Order to fail. She had to at least pretend she was trying to win. She miraculously got a tip about a BB8 droid being with the Poe Dameron pilot.

She hoped the resistance could shoot better than the stormtroopers she was bringing. There was only so many times their fire could be thrown back at them without someone noticing. She laughed to herself. Snoke would fall. He was going to fall.

She was going to be picked up when he did.

"Now Mara." Maz said as she led Mara down a set of stairs in the castle and to a door. "I have something for you to give to Luke."

She walked inside and Mara smiled, curious to see what Maz had to give her. She came back with a lightsaber.

"This is the lightsaber my Luke lost when he lost his hand. You don't have his hand do you?"

"I'm afraid not." Maz laughed.

"I will make sure this gets to Luke."

"You've sensed her haven't you?" Maz asked as Mara went to walk away. "All these years and yet suddenly she can be sensed again."

"Perhaps it's taken awhile for our paths to almost cross." Mara uttered.

"The force is mysterious. Mysterious how a Skywalker with Jade genes in her too, hasn't destroyed the republic or the resistance yet. If she is on the side of the empire."

"Thank you" Mara smiled at the other female. "Luke will be very happy to see this." She wanted to change the subject of her daughter, her heart started to ache when she was brought up.

They could hear a ship suddenly.

Mara blinked. she could sense Rey again. "The First Order are here."

"Go!" Maz told Mara.

Mara broke into a run and up the stairs. "The First Order are here." Ben said. He was looking forward to a fight, for a challenge.

"There's a slight problem. That bitch from the First Order took my blaster."

Mara felt another stab at the heart. That 'bitch' was probably his daughter.
