Finding my Mate

Chapter 23

Claude laughs and hangs up the phone.

"It was Claude. He has my family" I say as I try to stand.

"No, you will stay sitting here and get you to a hospital, and we will get your family" Hunter says as he puts his hand on my shoulder and gently pushes me back down.

"No! I wanna go now!" I yell. I stand back up, but my knees buckle under me and I fall. They all stand around me.

"You're not going anywhere" Cole says as he grabs my hand an pulls me up. I lean against him and I look at the others. I see Hunter giving Cole a frustrated stare. Is he, jealous?

"Come on, let's go" Hunter says coldly. I hear Cole sigh and pick me up bridal style. I think I heard Hunter growl, but I couldn't tell over all the cars driving by. We walk for about another 30 minutes when we finally see the hospital come into view. By this time, my leg is throbbing and I'm holding back tears. I bite the inside of my
lip so hard I start to taste blood. I guess Hunter and Cole could sense my pain, because all of a sudden they started to pick up the pace.

"Coby, go run up to the front desk and tell the person that we are coming" Hunter commands. Coby nods and starts for the hospital at a dead sprint.

"Don't worry, Ayla. Your gonna be fine" I hear Cole say to me. They walk into the hospital and Coby a arguing with the woman at the front desk.

"Sir, I'm sorry but you will have to wait, we have no available rooms at this time" she says calmly.

"Please lady, she's really badly hurt. Could you at least get someone to look at it?!" Coby says in a half yell.

"Sir if you don't calm down I will have to-"

"Sorry for him miss, but our friend needs the attention of a doctor" Hunter says as he gestures to me, now panting and feeling tears welling up in my eyes.

"Well, I'll see if anyone is on break" she says and goes on to her computer. After a few very long and endless minutes, she tells us to go to room 247. Cole starts speed walking there before she even tells us the doctors name, and I hear the woman say that only one person is allowed to go with me. We turn into the room and a doctor is there waiting for us.

"Hello, my name is Doctor Miller. Please sit down, and we will find the problem" he says. Cole lays me gently on the bed and sits in the chair on the other end of the room.

"Now, where is the problem?" He asks. I start to lift up my pant leg to show him, and when I do the cut was even worse than before. It look infected.

"My my how did this happen?" He asks. I take a moment to think about what I should say, but Cole speaks before me.

"We where taking a hike with two other friends and she tripped and cypher leg on a rock" Cole says. The doctor nods and examine it closer.

"Well, it's infected, but not too severely. You will be out of here my tomorrow is my best guess. I will get some cream for the infection and then stitch you up, good as new!" The doctor says.

"Wait, tomorrow?" I ask

"Yes, you will have to stay over night so we can keep an eye on you" he says. "I'll be right back okay?" The doctor leaves the room.

"Cole, I can't stay here over night! Claude has my mom and Fynn!" I freak out. I feel my heart beat faster and I start to hyperventilate. Cole jumps out of his chair and is by my side, giving me comforting words.

"Hey, shhhh, it's okay. I'll make sure that nothing happens to your family, okay?" He says with a kind smile. I stare at him until my heart rate goes down.

"Okay" I reply

Hey guys! Guess what's back! I decided that I am going to continue writing this book because I have finally come up with some new ideas. I hope you guys can forgive me!
