Finding my Mate

Chapter Ten

I walk around the campfire and talk to some people. I mostly talk to this one girl, Laura. She has reddish brown hair and dark green eyes. She's small, but not as small as me.
"So, how long have you known Hunter?" She asks me
"About 3 or 4 days" I reply "when did you first turn into a werewolf?"
"A year ago. I was in the middle of class when I felt like throwing up. So, I ran to the bathroom and threw up, then when I was walking out of class, a blacked out, and woke up in my backyard" she said. Wow. Imagine, in the middle of class.

After talking for a while, I find Hunter arm wrestling with someone.
"Hunter, I need to go home now. It's 10:45" I say
"Ok, just give me a sec" he says. He beats the person and walks with me to his car. As we drive down the road, something crashes into the car. We skid off the road and crash into a ditch.
"Are you ok?" He asks me
"Yeah" I say "look out!" Something dives into the window. I scream and he pushes it back with the door.
"Stay in here, ok?" He says
"Ok" I say, and he gets out of the car. He sprints at it and turns into a wolf. He starts mauling and pouncing on it, but then it starts to fight back and it slashes his arm. I finally get a good look at it, and it surprises me. It's a demon. What is it doing so far away from the city. I quickly jump out of the car and yell "Hunter! It's a demon!"

I see his eyes widen and he pushes it off of him, and he runs over to me. He places himself infront of me. The demon examines why Hunter is doing that, and it cries to the sky. It's calling for backup. Hunter can't fight off all of them. I see two lines of black smoke and they stand beside the first one and approach us. Hunter howls for help, but it's going to take a while for his pack to get here.

He runs towards them and starts to fight, but one of them sneak away and runs toward me.
"Hunter!" I scream, and it grabs me by the arm. He looks back and starts running after us. I hear howling and three other wolves are by his side. I see one of the other wolves have black fur. Cole. The demon starts to run faster, and into a cave. I can't see anything, but I can hear them running after us, but suddenly, everything goes silent.
