I inhaled a deep breathe of air. Today's is my first show case since I was in high school. I haven't done many performances since Mel was killed. Since my recent session with Dr. O'Shea James he told me to start doing things that make me happy and music is one of those things that makes me extremely happy.
"Ant are you excited about tonight?" Lyric asked sitting beside me
"Hell yeah but I'm also a little nervous I haven't performed since I was 18." I said
"Jerell you'll do great besides I haven't heard you sing in a long time." Lyric said curling her hair
"Yea' it's been a littl' minute but I ready to start doing things that make me happy." I said laying back on Lyric bed while she did her hair
"That's good." Lyric said tapping my leg so I could sit up
"Damn Lyric you look good ma', but lemme go finish getting ready." I said getting off her bed and making my way to my bedroom

I stood front row as the Dj introduced Anthony to the crowd. Moments later Anthony stepped onto the stage. I watched as he cleared him throat and pointed to the Dj. The beat began to play as Anthony started talking.
"Tonight I'm going to sing a song I wrote called Would You Know, it's for a special lady out in the crows tonight..... Lyric Baybeh this is for you."
I blushed as Anthony cleared his throat yet again and began to sing.
Would You Know?
[Verse 1]
One minute I'll be on one, next minute I'll be chillin'
Sometimes I really care, sometimes I really don't
And you'll be all up in your feelings
Sometimes I wanna be solo
Sometimes I feel like something missin'
Sometimes I be like damn you could be the one if you keep playin' your position
And you be playin' your position like a pro
Like the way you know, if you really got the good I'll never let you go
And you always look good, you be going with the flow
Keep on doing what you doing, baby that will get you chose
I suppose, who knows?
Depends on how I be feeling, using what my heart's revealing[Pre-Chorus]
Maybe you got what I'm missin', would you keep it real and
My heart belong to you
Baby, would you act right could you be the one on my side or would you run and hide?
If I gave my all to you
Baby, would you play your part if I gave you my heart?
