“Delilah!... what... what are you doing here?!” Tom asked just as shocked as I was.
“Gee, it's nice to see you too! You know, I could ask you the same question!” I spat.
“I'm an actor! I have more reason than you do.” Tom spat back.
“Oh really?” I laughed harshly.
“Yeah.” He said as we were both in each others faces.
“Well, it just so happens that this is MY movie!”
“What?!” Tom asked shocked.
“Yea, remember that book you were sooo keen on doubting.” I said backing away a bit.
“You never sent it though... I mean... Emma never said anything...” He said.
“I sent it to her, Rupert, and I didn't even have to send it to Dan. He had already went out and bought it. Guess that's what happens when you are out of the loop.” I teased.
He smirked that old familiar smirk that I just about couldn't resist swooning at.
“Delilah, you guys know each other?” Tamera asked.
“Oh yeah. Delilah and I go waaay back don't we?” Tom teased throwing a arm around my shoulders pulling me close. I tensed up at the closeness of our bodies. Soon a familiar aroma reached my nose and I melted into him.
“Oh. Okay, well... in your opinion do you think he will do well for the part of Evan?” Tamera asked.
“What?” My eyes shot to her.
“Oh didn't you hear? I've been selected for the role of Evan.” Tom smirked looking down at me.
“Since when?” I pouted
“Since I auditioned. Hm... I guess that's what happens when you are out of the loop.” Tom said walking away from me and over to his friend he had brought along.
I glared at him for using such form of cruel irony against me!
“Is this the girl you said would be perfect for the role of Carmella?” Tamera asked.
I looked the girl up and down just as she did the same with me. I recognized her. I know I had seen her before.... from where though? I sat back down in my seat silently searching my mind for the answer.
“Yes, this is Andi Fallyn Marie Thompson.” Tom introduced her.
I suddenly found myself feeling utterly self-conscious from the beauty of this girl. Not a single thing was out of place with her....
I was investigating her looks when I finally remembered where I had seen her from. She was the girl I saw in all the tabloids with Tom. The one he has seemed to moved on with!
A immense feeling of hate festered in my heart towards her. I guess it was safe to say I never really let go of Tom. Before this he was the only adventure of my lifetime. He made my life exciting, as I'm sure all actors did to young no bodies. He didn't just do that though.... he made me feel... safe.. loved... and happy. Like there wasn't anything else in the world that could make me feel more complete. Cheesy, I know... but... I like cheese. So that was okay. (I hope you all caught that right there. Delilah's recollection of one of her old phone calls she had with Tom when he was known as the mystery man to her in the first story. Tehe. ;D )
“Okay, you two read a scene together... read uhm... read the confession scene. Page 322 of the script.
“Evan... how could you?... kill all those innocent girls.... why?! Why Evan?!” Andi yelled as she read from the script in the character of Carmella. Running her hand through her hair frustrated and shakily... I wasn't sure if it was from nerves or just from the fact Carmella was noted to be terrified and overwhelmed with hurt as she came to the conclusion the boy she had fallen for was the serial killer who had been searching for her. That he was the one who killed her best friend and been under her nose all along.
“No! No! Carmie, listen to me! I didn't touch those girls! It's true. I did know them. I went to school with them, but... You really think I could hurt someone?!” Tom read in Evan's character as reached for Andi who was backing away in fear.
“Don't lie to me Evan! I saw you! I saw how you leave with that girl! All the evidence has been pointing to you and you just had to go and an-and make it true!” Andi cried “I thought you felt something for me. Why would you wanna hurt me... why? I don't understand.”
Andi became almost inaudible as she played out Carmella's most emotional scene.
“Damnit Carmella!” Tom yelled frustrated.
My heart sank... I knew what was coming. I remembered every part of my book... word by word... Seeing it pan out was just so much more emotional for me than I thought it'd be with Tom here. I could recall every bit of detail leading up to what was to come next.
Evan took hold of Carmella forcefully yet tenderly... as if she were glass. She fought against him with all her might, batting a his firmly toned chest. He shook her softly as to get her to stop and brushed the hair from her tear stained face. He looked in her eyes pleadingly. Just begging for one glimmer of hope and belief to come from her heart. He saw so much hurt and disgust as tears brimmed his owns eyes. He dared not let them fall. He put his hand on the back of her neck stroking her skin. Underneath his hand he felt her tense. He slowly moved forward looking her deeply in the eyes trying to show her all his love with in that one glance just before... just before.....
“And that's a wrap!” Charlie yelled standing up cutting off the scene playing before us just before it could break me.
“She will do just fine.” Charlie assured Tamera and the others of the movie crew.
“Are you alright?” Jessica asked.
I finally snapped out of it and felt the tears gushing from my eyes. I looked to the others through my blurred vision. Their faces filled with concern.
“Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Sorry, it's just an emotional scene.. as well as... you know seeing what I wrote come to life... excuse me.” I said getting up and heading to the door.
I looked back to Tom and Andi. Andi looked baffled while for a moment. Just a moment... I thought I saw a flicker of concern wash over Tom's face... with in an instant it was gone... so I guess I would never actually know.
“You did lovely..” I said directed towards Andi.
No matter how jealous I was of the girl I had to admit she did a great job and would be perfect for the part of Carmella.
I looked to Tom for a moment before disappearing from the room. It seemed we always left each other this way.
Hurt, confused, and incomplete....
