“So, uhm.... where to boys?” I asked from the back seat trying to break the brooding silence.

They had argued on over who was to sit where. We were taking Alex's car and Alex wanted me to sit by him. His eyes glinted even more every time Tom's face turned a new shade of red. Tom insisted I sit in back with him so if anything happened with Alex's crazy driving I wouldn't directly have impact with the windshield. They went on for about five minutes. I solved this problem by sprawling out in the back causing both boys to take refuge up front.

“Where do you want to go? Alex asked.

“Uhm..... didn't ya'll have this planned out? So, why is it I have to be the one to decide?” I asked.

“I'm afraid his brain capacity doesn't allow him to think that far ahead, love.” Tom said.

I blushed a little.

“Hey! I thought this was all on you, Mister I'm a big movie star and can afford to buy off the world.” Alex snapped.

“I wasn't aware we were already discussing the paying arrangements for tonight's dinner, but I will gladly buy the lady dinner.” Tom said.

“Hey! No! This was my idea. I'm buying her dinner.” Alex glared.

“Why should it be that way? When it was my idea the other night you battled for the gratitude of payment then. Why is it any different now?” Tom pointed out.

I've got to hand it to him there. He had Al cornered.

Just as Al looked really mean and was about to say something I felt it was my time to cut in.

“GUYS! Jumpin' the gun a little, aren't we? Why don't we decide where we are going before we decide who is paying.” I said kicking my legs up between them from the back as a wall.

“You still do ballet?” Alex teased.

“And Hopper still occasionally hops sometimes too.” I said referring to Jess being the hip hop dancer she is.

At our reminisce I could see Tom feeling a bit left out.

“Alright Thomas! What do you feel like eating tonight?” I asked now leaning forward to look them both in the face.

“Where ever you'd like to eat.” He shrugged looking out his side of the car.

“Oh not fair.” I pouted.

“It's all on you, Twinkle Toes.” Alex said.

“You guys aren't going to like my choice... I'll make sure of it!” I said.

They were ignoring my futile threat, but I smirked evilly.

“T.G.I. Friday.” I said kicking back in my seat as the wind whipped my already tussled hair around.

“We were just th-”

“My choice!” I said cutting Tom off.

“But I just got off w-”

“MY choice.” I said cutting off Alex's interjection.

He exchanged a look of defeat with Tom and turned into the lot of TGIF.

We sat at booth this time and Alex beat Tom to the punch of sitting next to me. I could almost see the vain throbbing in Tom's forehead as he became more and more annoyed with Alex as the night progressed.

“Tara!” I smiled at our waitress from the previous night.

“Delilah! It's good to see you are all okay.” She smiled and then turned to Alex “You just can't get enough of this place, can ya?”

“Ah, what can I say?” Alex played along.

I ordered Halipeno Poppers again. No, I never get enough of them.

“So, why exactly didn't the others come with us?” I asked.

“They, uhm.. They-”

“They probably wanted to get away from Free Willy over here.” Tom joked harshly.

The boys began to argue again.

This was getting so frustrating. Not one conversation could take place without them two going at each other's throats.

“Are they like this all the time?” Tara asked bringing me my coffee.

“I'd be surprised if they weren't.” I sighed.

“What gives you the right t-”

“Alex!” Tara halted the boys who were now staying in their seats seeing whom could tower over whom as to earn their manly pride.

“What?!” He snapped.

Tara gave him a stern look and grabbed his ear.

“You come along with me.” She said pulling him by his ear from his seat.

“Ow! Let go woman!” He hissed in pain.

“Ohhhh no. You took off before finishing your load, son! Now get to it!” She said kicking Alex's butt into the kitchen and throwing a wink back at me.

I sighed finally relaxing a little, but tensing a bit more once I realized a set of eyes baring into me.

This could only call for disaster.
