I woke up with the worst headache & didn't even meet anyone. There was no point in me to come. I hear someone in the bathroom.
"Morning" Gemma said as she was fixing some towels for the bathroom.
"Morning, what time is it?"
"It's past noon. I put some clean clothes on the side if you want to wear them, they're Jax's clothes. He won't mind."
"Thanks"
"Well I'm gonna be in the clubhouse you could come get coffee for that headache." I put on the shirt & sweats & went to get coffee. I sat on the bar waiting for coffee.
"Rough night?"
"Tell me about it." Some guy with weird looking hands told me. I couldn't help to stare at them.
"Oh these? yeah gemma got them for me from eBay."
"What happened to your hands?"
"Oh the Chinese chopped them off because-"
"That's enough Chucky don't need to scare our guests away, specially our lovely guests." An old guy with a huge beard and belly said, a big man.
"You're the chick from last night,"
"Nice to meet you."
"Pleasure's all mine sweetie." I felt a little uncomfortable since I wasn't interested but luckily one of the bartenders served me my coffee & interrupted us.
"Thanks." I take a sip of one of the harshest, darkest coffee I have ever had. I pick up my cup and walk outside to get some fresh air. I see Jax pull in the driveway with his bike.
"Nice clothes."
"Sorry your mom said you wouldn't mind. I can always change to my clothes-"
"They look good on you. Keep em." He said as he went inside the clubhouse. I got kind of bored just standing out by myself so I decided to pick up my things and drive home.
As I was unlocking the door, I hear a voice,
"What the hell?" footsteps grow closer so I turn around to find Tara getting closer and closer to me.
"You've ever heard of personal space?" I said considering she was 3 inches away from my face.
"Is there a reason why you're wearing my husbands clothes instead of yours?"
"Actually there is. It's not what you think it is"
"I'm waiting.." she replied. Normally, I would've whooped her for disrespecting me that many times, but since she is getting me a job, I knew I had to keep calm and be the bigger person.
"I fell asleep at the clubhouse and Gemma gave me these clothes to change in. They just happen to be Jax's clothes. Don't believe me then ask anyone at the club house.. Sorry to burst your bubble but married guys aren't really my style. If there's a problem you can tell your husband to lay off which will probably make you look stupid since I just met him." She didn't say anything she just nodded her head.
"Well I did talk to my supervisor, she said she'd like to schedule a meeting with you to discuss the job with further details if you are still interested."
"Yes I am thank you." She went back inside and I finally was able to relax for once.
I took a long nap and woke up around 6pm. Since I haven't ate all day, I decided to head to town and do some food cruising since I have a car to take me places. I stopped by a cute diner and had some breakfast style dinner. Seeing happy families and big groups of friends made me realize how isolating I felt. I have no friends, no family, and no acquaintances that I can chat with. Gemma, Tara, and Jax weren't exactly people I can just hang out and have a couple of drinks with.
I headed into the grocery store and bought a few more things that I needed. Funny how this town doesn't have big store corporations like Target, Walmart, Costco, etc. Everything seems mom & pops style which is pretty nice. One of the main reasons I moved here was to get away from the city. San Francisco can be very overwhelming with all the big buildings, big lights, all the people, and the worst, traffic. I have never lived in a small town where people know each other and convive as one, there's something about that that I liked.
As I turned on my car, the check engine light appeared. It is an old car so I guess it's bound to happen even though I just had bought it. The nearest shop or should I say the only shop in town was going to close in 30 minutes so I smashed over there as quickly as possible hoping I don't get pulled over.
It was a very familiar setting. I checked out the name, "Teller Morrow Garage". I pull in and it was the same shop I had came to with Jax, I just never paid attention to the actual shop like the name and location. As soon as I pull in, the guy with the creepy hands comes over.
"Nice to see you again, I'll go get Jax"
"NO" I tried to be direct, "I didn't come for Jax, I actually came because my check engine light turned on and I just want to make sure it's nothing serious. It wasn't the gas cap I checked."
"Let me see if I can squish you in right now since we are by appointment only-"
"Aye Chucky it's fine we can take a look at it right now, don't need to keep the lady waiting much longer" a strange accent spoke upon us. It was one of the guys I saw at the party. He had a gnarly scar on his face,
"I can always come back another time when you guys aren't about to close."
"No worries, this'll only take a second. You can have a seat inside the clubhouse if ye like." I knew that would be a bad idea since Tara basically warned me about hanging around with Jax and I didn't need any unnecessary problems right now so I instead sat outside and waiting while they checked it. While I normally would check it myself, I don't have any tools whatsoever if I found a problem with it so taking it to a shop was my best bet.
"Just needs an oil change. ye want us to do it?"
"If you have time, if not, I can come back another time."
"It's fine darling I can squash ye in, only take a sec." After finishing the oil change I tried to pay them and they wouldn't take my money so I tipped Chibs for his fast work and great customer service. I headed home.
