The next morning, I got up, put on some clothes & waited for Jax so he can ride us to work.
I saw him leave his house & kiss his wife or girlfriend goodbye & his child im guessing.I walk outside my house locking my door & towards Jax.
"Right on time" he said. We got on his bike, I put on the helmet & he drove to the shop.
"Follow me" he said & I followed.
He took me to this restaurant place that had a few older guys in it just sitting drinking beer with some prostitutes I believe."This is our clubhouse where we relax & enjoy our time. The guys with the cut on their back are part of the MC. Those ladies are just for entertainment"
"Prostitutes?" He chuckled at my curiosity.
"They're friends" I nodded in agreement. That makes sense. He walked me to the actual shop but we went in an office next to the shop first. A lady with dark hair & blonde highlights was sitting in the chair.
"Ma this is Marilyn she's gonna work here now"
"Hi" she said not happy nor mad. Just emotionless.
"Hi nice to meet you" I said. Awkward.
"You too sweetheart"
"Well that's my mom you can call her Gemma. Don't worry about her being a pain in the ass" I nodded.
"& here is the actual shop" & we went in where there were bikes. Only bikes.
"Wait I thought we were working on cars"
"Not exactly" well fuckin shit.
"I don't know about bikes, I know about cars but bikes? I don't know bout that."
"Well that leaves you option 2" he said.
"That's fine I guess"
"Unless-"
"I ain't gonna be one of those prostitutes" I said immediately. Jax laughed at me.
"No unless you wanna help Gemma & like just help around." That actually sounds better.
"I'd rather do that" we went back to his moms office.
"Mom Marilyn's gonna help you with whatever you need help with" Gemma checked me out up & down.
"Its fine mom"
"Alright then" Gemma says as Jax walks out the door and leaves the both of together.
"Sit" she tells me to sit in one of the chairs.
"What's your name again?"
"Marilyn"
"Like the whore Marilyn Monroe" I looked at her in the eye. Surprised at her comment.
"Yeah like the whore"
"Well you don't look like a whore so I'll just call you Mar"
"Im okay with that" I awkwardly sat there trynna make conversation.
"So your Jax's mom"
"That's why he called me mom"
"You look young to be his mom" Gemma gave a half smile like Jax does. That's where he gets it from.
"Black always makes everything look younger" she said referring to her all black clothes.
"Anyways have you met everyone here?"
"No, just you & Jax" right after I said that, a man with the same vest as Jax came in. He had white hair, was really tall & muscular ish with some black shades on.
"Gem" he said. Gemma stood up & went to him so they could talk at the door. I just sat there & someone else came through through the other door that led to the inside of the shop.
"Oh. Is Gemma around?" an older looking man with barely any hair, not wearing the same uniform as the other guys were. This guy was a cop.
"Yeah she's just talking to someone outside the door."
"Okay I'll wait here" he said & was sitting next to me. I awkwardly sat there.
"Wayne" he said "but the guys call me Unser"
"Marilyn, but Gemma calls me Mar because apparently I don't look like a whore"
"You just met her?"
"Yeah I haven't met anyone besides her & Jax"
"Gemma can be a little, over the top so don't take it personal"
"So I've heard" I said. Gemma walked in after a few minutes of talking to the guy.
"Oh hey Wayne" she says, "you met my assistant yet" I chuckled hoping it's not actually true.
"Yes. Gemma I need to talk to you about-" & he whispers it to her.
"Mar could you give us a moment" she said & I stepped out the room. Everyone here is very.. Mysterious. Then again so am I.
I stepped out & sat on some benches I saw while they talked inside. Hopefully I get along with everyone here.
